Asda delivery arrived, after a message saying it'll be an hour late it turned up on time, garlic stuffing sent packing with the driver and te refund is already back on the card, must say that is efficientNot sure how the billing works, because the OOS cauli cheese was part of the male deal for tenner but not available I seem to have got the lamb shanks for nothing, at least they're billed as Free Sample, £00.00 on reciept, all very odd, but I CBA to try & work out what's gone onAnyway they look nice but are two vacuum sealed in a pack, I had hoped they were individually wrapped, never mind I can cook both come the time and have cold lamb LOsThe sticky choc pud is in the freezer already, it's really for two small portions or one greedy guts sizeThe salmon sides fillets on offer both arrived, look nice and chunky , Norwegian farmed not Scottish. I hope to slice each into 4 portions like the W8rose onesBoneless pork joint, nice size, and ready to freeze once I get the salmon sortedAll jobs for another day as they have a good few days life on themLunch was cheese & salad sarnieDinner, now I have a fridge full of grub I just don't know, not very hungry at the moment, could be scrambled eggs on toast and maybe some mushrooms along side?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1

I hope you had a good lunch and catch-up Caronc 🙂
After reading your post Farway I have booked a delivery for a couple of weeks as my sister is coming to stay at the end of the month. I usually like to buy a bigger piece of salmon and cook whole for a family dinner and I've ordered the lamb shanks as well 🙂 I can rejig the order nearer the time
Another fun day of work 😐 we're only a small team and had one on holiday and another off sick which meant it was a little hectic today 🙄
lunch was more of the celery soup and a slice of toast. Dinner was easy LO chicken, chips and whilst the AF was on I added in some LO cauliflower and roasted it off for 10 minutes 🙂 fresh pineapple for afterwardsLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -

LO traybake turned into a salad with chimichurri mayo for lunch. Swimming night so early tea of beans with toast (another classic, just served the way I like it i.e. no soggy toast!)
Only 3 more days til the weekend Brambling!0 -
Dull & a tad chilly start tot the day, last night was the first chuck an extra blanket [dog / cat if available] on bed nightBrambling, good move on the Asda items, I remembered you were looking at the salmon but like me OOS at the time.I sliced one up into four good pieces yesterday, mine seem to be from the middle, fat & chunky bit, of the fish. I notice the individual fillets portion I ordered appear to be the skinny tail bit so getting the big chunk & slicing is goodI'm still pondering about leaving one whole and use it over Christmas period, at the offer price and lack of similar W8rose offer I may pop another on my next list. Pre Covid days Lidl used to sell XXL packs of individual salmon fillets on offer but I'm unlikely to go in there for a whileJKS, beans on toast **, ideal and could be on the menu here very soon
, I was thinking about it just this morning
The offer small roast in bag chick has joined the salmon & sticky toffee pud in the freezer, still space for the the other salmon & pork jointLunch, see above**, maybe BoT ?Dinner, now I have fresh veg back in stock probably one of the individual skinny end of salmon fillets in foil parcel, steamed with broccoli, carrots & frozen green beans, plus boiled baby spuds. Blobbed with butter to serveEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Catch up yesterday for a friend's 60th was lovely, no spectacular views from the hotel though as the cloud was low lying. The food was decent but not quite as good as I've had there previously, still very enjoyable though.
I'm going to be dog sitting my sister's pooch from this afternoon until Friday, I enjoy having him here but wouldn't want a pet full time. DS2 will be in charge of walking him!
DS2 cooked a chicken curry yesterday, plenty of LOs for lunch & the freezer.
Finally making the sausage casserole tonight, we'll have it with baked spuds and green beans. I'll also make a pot of cauli soup this afternoon to use up the remaining XL cauli.0 -
Grey and rainy on and off here today but actually fairly mild.
Office day today so lunch was some of the celery and Stilton soup. Swimming this evening so jacket spud with some of the veggie chilli and a dollop of creme fraiche afterwards 😋0 -
There was definitely a nip in the air today, I thought about putting on the heating when I was on a call today, but decided to leave it a while longer and put my throw around my shoulders instead until I warmed up
lunch was another mug of celery soup, I froze the last portion. Dinner was jacket potato with tuna Mayo and salad, I froze the last of the chicken with the carcass it's too small for stock on its own.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Sunny & quite mild this morning, I'm out this afternoon, volunteer AGM, so at least it's dryBit worrying with my PC, taking a while and a few hesitations to get going this morning, it was similar yesterday.I think, and hope, it's because my drive is nearly full. Just in case I have a large memory stick on the way, due tomorrow, where I'll back up the lot but I have a spare external drive which i think I'll back up to ASAP, maybe leave it backing up when I'm at AGM, as apparently it can take a few hoursShould I vanish you'll know what happenedMeanwhile there is a fresh loaf baking in the Panny which will not be ready fro lunch, so lunch is open tin of Heinz cream of Tom soup with older bread to dunk in, but I may try out making croutons out of it and fry in the AF, looks simple & faff free enoughDinner, because of AGM and CBA + fresh loaf it could well be a nice fresh bread sarnie, or maybe HM Ploughman style, especially Stilton arrived in my Asda deliveryEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1

Good morning everyone,
Hope your PC is okay Farway! Finally made the sausage & butter bean casserole yesterday, it's a keeper. LOs for lunch.
It's like winter here this morning and supposed to only be 3C tonight!
My sister's pooch has been keeping us amused between stalking the spider that lives under the TV unit for ages yesterday evening then sliding off the sofa while he was snoozing he really is a daft lump. I'm sure he thought DS2 pushed him but it was all gravity's work.
I usually hoover, dust and mop through on Thursdays but given the amount of hair he is casting I think I'll leave it until after he's gone home tomorrow morning. I'll tackle some of Friday's jobs instead today.
Tesco order needs finalising and that's about the extent of my plans for today.
Piri piri chicken traybake for dinner.1 -
Felt really quite cool in the office this morning. By lunchtime, the joy of the air conditioning system meant that it was unbearably stuffy 🙄
Another day of celery and Stilton soup for lunch. An old favourite of salmon with pesto pasta, broccoli and sugar snaps for dinner.
Nearly made it through another week 🙃0
