Cake Cures most ills. What brand of jab did you get? I'm told the AZ is worse for initial jab, my neighbour had that and it gave her a bad night
I had the AZ  one Farway with the exception of the arm still feeling bruised and lingering knee pain I'm over most of the side effects  :)  the slice or two of courgette and carrot cake has helped 😁 it's the last one from my summer crop and two of my five a day ;)

My TV gave me a pink screen tonight  :s you could still see what was on it just had a pink filter over it.  I did the technical switch off and switch on and it's been ok since but at 13 years old I fear it will be the next item to go it wasn't a expensive one  :|  TBH I've no idea what's out there, I don't need anything too complicated.  I brought my first home 1990 buying new/second hand electrical goods and when I moved here in 2005 it started to need replacing one after the other and I think it's going to be the same 🙄 WM and FF are both older than the TV at least the oven is only 9 so a little younger although I chipped the edge of the hob last week dropping a mug on it 😬

I'm trying to eat down my freezers especially some of the HM RMs which don't get eaten so quickly now I'm not going into the office although they have come in handy this week. I'm down to my last portion of soup and 3 other LO meals, the problem is I'm guilty of putting the new stuff on top rather than rotating them.   Lunch was a portion of tomato and sweet potato soup with a slice of cheese on toast (soup, bread and grated cheese from the freezer) and dinner a portion of lamb shank casserole also from the freezer with cabbage and carrots unfortunately this portion had no dumplings  :'(

    Good morning everyone,
After a frosty and misty start to the day it's lovely now. Don't think I'll be doing much gardening as I have manage to twist my neck/shoulder turning over in bed! Groceries are due soon and once they are stashed I think a quiet afternoon is on the cards.
Cheese and ham toastie for lunch to use up some lurking bits and freezer raid for dinner possibly breaded haddock.

Most surprisingly my weather matches yours today Caron, nice warm sun, very spring like, with pink cherry blossom over the road ready to pop any time now

I went through this about a year back, it's mind boggling and they all seem to be "smart" now In the end I asked my son to sort it out fro me, which he did, and I'm very pleased with it. Should you get a new one you'll be amazed at just how good they are these days, perfect pictures with rubbish programmes & mumbling actors :s

Out early to collect prescription and more milk + spuds from Costcutter, wanted a lettuce as well but they were manky so left them there
lunch today, had thought of salady something but nil lettuce etc means plan C, open a tin of corned beef + sliced tomato
Dinner, I've LOs from past few days, so it'll be nuked LO cauli cheese, with nuked LO pasta bake, + LO boiled spuds in frittata thingy with corned beef
Brown sauce should go well with that

It's gorgeous weather here, it's like summer.

I had a chickpea sarnie this morning and I went for a walk.

I'm having Quorn fillets, with asparagus and a yellow pepper roasted in olive oil. Bread too, probably. I have some peri peri sauce to go on the fillets.

    Good morning everyone,
LOL Brambling, thankfully it's much less painful this morning.
    Dull and cold here today.
Family curry evening via Zoom tonight, we are making ours rather than buying a takeaway and will share our food with my sis and nephew. My son will drop it off to them ready to cook/reheat. My elder son and DIL-to-be are spoiled for choice re takeaway options so they will probably order a meal. Tandoori style chicken, aubergine biriyani, saag aloo, spiced onions, raita for us along with some bought naan. An afternoon in the kitchen beckons.  :D
