    Evening all

the advantage of work being so busy is the week flies by  :| although I could do without one more 'just one more small thing at 6pm' which isn't small or quick🙄

There was a frost this morning, very pretty to look at out the window 🙂 and it looks like it's going to be a nice week so I hope to get some pottering done in the garden.

Lunch was the last of my chicken soup, Dinner a FS pork and apple burger with HM coleslaw, AF chips and salad

The nice weekend has started, overnight frost but now bright sun & blue sky, supposed to continue for at least a couple of days.
Let pottering in the sunshine commence

Dinner fail last night, I was tinkering trying to replace my watch battery [also failed, wrong size :'( ] and then CBA to sort out dinner, which was only going to be a salad anyway, so it was toast with a cheese triangle spread
I also found a PB baguette horde I'd forgotten about , about a month past BBE date so will have to fit them in during the coming days

Lunch, probably last of my loaf, toasted, with use up scrambled eggs
Dinner, yesterday's planned LO roast chicken salad. I've made a potato salad using LO boiled baby spuds, with chopped HG chives, first crop from Farway Acres this year :)

    Good morning everyone,
Dull, damp and chilly here today.
Bacon, egg and mushroom wrap is planned for brunch.
I'm CFO this evening as my son is "Zooming" with his pals. A SM pizza, the remote control and a glass of red beckon. :)

  • Seem to have forgotten to post yesterday, long day, in fact it was a long week. Managed a jacket potato with tuna mayo and cheese in between the chaos and then relaxed by making chicken and chorizo jambalaya last night.

I had brunch of scrambled eggs and avocado this morning before a lovely sunny walk. Going to try aubergine and black bean tacos tonight 😋

    Happy sunny weekend everyone

It was warm enough today to garden in a tee shirt 🙂 I had to go back in to change as I was too hot once I got digging.  I straightened the edge of my back lawn, widening the border a wee bit as I went.  Unfortunately the PITA I live with thought my twine was a toy making it difficult to keep the line straight and then the little !!!! managed to bite through it 🙄 it's just as well I'm not that ocd about the line.  I started to weed the border but my sinuses still aren't 100% so stopped for a late lunch in the garden and gave up

lunch was a cheese and coleslaw sandwich on the patio followed by a catch up with my neighbour over the fence.

Dinner was ham hock, new potatoes HM coleslaw and salad.  I brought a couple of ham hocks from Asda which are nice other than the spiced apple sauce which you pour over the top.  TBH I'm fussy on what fruit and meat combinations I like 🤔 the two hocks have given me three good portions of meat so LOs

Just as well yesterday was sunshine, this morning is grey but sun expected once the mist lifts
I was another one out pottering yesterday, tidied up the blackberries ready for easy picking summer crumbles, and, looking at the swelling flower buds also day dreaming of ripe cherries
Rhubarb is poking through but that's a while off yet

Lunch, not sure, I intend picking over the LO roast chicken later and once that's done I can decide if it's chicken PB baguette or cheese PB baguette
Dinner, going to be healthy one today, and MSE one pot
Steamed fresh veg, with "baby" spuds & carrots in the steamer base, fresh veg plus salmon fillet in tin foil parcel in the top bit

    Good morning everyone,
Dull, damp and chilly again here this morning.
Slow roast shoulder of lamb for us today, we are having a family Zoom to eat dinner "together" this evening and are all cooking lamb. This is coincidence rather than planning lol. It's only a small piece so I'm not expecting much by way of LOs. I might make soup today rather than tomorrow I'm swithering between leek & butterbean or cream of tomato.

I hope you enjoyed your family dinner Caronc 🙂

another nice day here although a little chillier than yesterday. Cuppa tea and a catch-up with my sister and nephew this morning, normal putting the world to rights.

Lunch was a ham sandwich using LO ham hock from dinner. Dinner was a recipe from my nephew, chicken thighs, chorizo, tomato, pepper, olives and ciabatta traybake I added chopped fennel.  Not sure about the ciabatta as although it is lovely and crunchy on top the bottom bits were a bit soggy 🤔 I had to eat all the LO crunchy bits as they would be soggy tomorrow served with kale and a baked sad large mushroom

  • Another lovely day here too, first load of washing of the year out on the line 😀

The sunshine motivated me to give the house a good clean as well.

Tuna salad with a part baked bread roll for lunch, lamb steak with aubergine and chickpea mash tonight.
