'morning all, a big change in the weather today, waiting on Storm Bella to finish with the North before blowing us away down here tonightFood today will be picking at things.I am very glad that I never took the rolled turkey breast out of the freezer last night, I initially took it out but thought better of it so put it backThe only hot food today was breakfast porridgeLunch, I have some LO smoked salmon, and in an ideal world wafer thin salmon & cuc sarnies would be served, but not ideal so could be a mish mash depending how thinly I can slice the loafDinner, has to be cheese & crackers + whatever else I can find. I don't have any chocs but there are mince pies aroundCBA to make sausage rolls even though I have everything to do soEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens2

Hope you didnt get blown. away Farway!
Food for us is leftovers warmed up for dinner, picky bits for tea and it is one of my favourite things about Christmas - no cooking and I always enjoy Boxing Day more than Christmas Day as it is less stress lol!2 -
Hi guys.Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday
I didn't eat as much as normal years, but enjoyed baked camembert, crunchy salad, n dips for tea 😋 Am having breaded cheese bites later, so it's been a cheesy xmas for me 🤣🤣

, I woke about four this morning and wind was howling and rain pouring down, but now it's calm, blue skies & sunshine, but looks chilly enough not to poke my snout outside
Today's meals are yet more pick & mix, cheese will be quite dominant, as I've discovered an unopened & forgotten jar of chutneyLunch though will be a warmed up Asda cheapo cheese & onion pastyEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens2 -
Candygirl - I ate so much vegan cheese and biscuits over the past week!
I'm having tea and crumpets for breakfast along with a bowl of fresh fruit. I'm having leftover bean chilli I made yesterday for lunch.
The storm was quite bad here last night. The doors and windows were shaking like something out of a horror film!2025 GOALS

Good afternoon everyone,
I hope everyone had a good Christmas, cfo or otherwise and isn't being too badly hit by Bella! The storm hit us yesterday and was pretty fierce, it moved on overnight bringing very cold and wintry weather behind, we've even had a smattering of snow!
I've had a lovely low key few days, all our revised plans worked well though we ended up not playing games via zoom yesterday evening as my nephew was late finishing work and after an almost ten hour shift was exhausted. Cra@p telly was the order of the day instead. There's not too many LOs to deal with, in the end up we portioned, vac packed and sous vided one of the breasts so we didn't have too much to use up. My job for later is to go through the fridge and check nothing is lurking that I've overlooked. Yesterday's meals and lunch today was picky bits including cold turkey, there's still some in gravy to be used so I may make a pie or just simply portion and freeze. The carcass has been roasted with some of the bones used for stock to make the gravy and some frozen for future soups. I'm not sure what we'll have for dinner this evening as my son is having a virtual get together with his mates.3 -
Evening all 🙂 Bella hit the county last night and was a little noisy but although there are reports of trees down around the county it seems to have avoided the town
Back to normal today although I hurt my foot yesterday at my sister's by slipping down the last two or three stairs (no I hadn't been drinking ) it didn't feel too bad yesterday but this morning it's swollen and painful especially around the big toe so I'm hobbling about unable to put a shoe on 🙄 luckily the other leg is just a bruised shin. It did mean a day of doing very little
i was given a soup maker for Christmas so tested it lunchtime using some veg I had previously chopped for soup and froze with a added potato. Dinner was a quick Nasi Goreng using a sachet of rice to make it quickLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2
