    Good afternoon everyone,
    Gorgeous looking bread Farway
Hopefully the LL will do what she promised PN
It was very stormy overnight but a quick inspection of the garden shows no damage as such just a few pots and bits toppled.
We got a fair bit done in the kitchen yesterday and it's beginning to look like a useful space again  :)
LO chicken wings and salad for lunch and steaks with baked spuds, various veg and peppercorn sauce for dinner this evening.

Did a huge hot dinner today .... too much in fact.  Pizza and cheesy, garlic bread.
All Mr T, 67p pizza, 32p garlic bread and about 15p of cheap mature cheddar.

I'd bought the garlic bread, but it's got a limited lifespan so I was keen to cook it quickest, before it started to mock me as each day ticked by .... I just cut the stick into three chunks, sliced down the middle, shoved some cheese in and tossed it in the oven alongside the pizza.

I had enough food for two people .... I've forced my way to the end of the garlic bread and eaten half the pizza.

I might eat the other half pizza in a bit .... I bet I do.

I've never bothered buying a ready made garlic bread before .... for 32p I thought it worth a punt.  In an ideal world I'd have the right sized dish and I'd have sliced it/laid it out in a single layer and topped it with more cheese... as it was I just hacked it into three, shoved the cheese in slits and chucked it in the oven.  In part, too, I didn't know how much space it'd take up, there was plenty of room in my 7" sandwich tin to hold it all.

Being in the kitchen for 20 minutes is certainly a way to see everybody that is in the house .... it was like a circus in there.....  saw three others passing through for brief visits... one making coffee, one serving food from a covered bowl, one putting away 2 shopping items.... luckily nobody else was cooking, so I did manage to get straight in and get to use the oven, but it's a shame nobody'd already used that as it'd have been quicker if I'd not been starting from cold.

Good news on LL note PN, be one less hassle hopefully
Looking like another not doing much day with the rain & wind blowing, forecast is off & on for the day

I woke early, maybe the wind woke me but not sure, any how I was up & about in the dark
The early start prompted me to sort the gammon out [the 1/3 off W8rose one].
Once unwrapped it was an odd shape to consider halving, freeze a lump, cook a lump. It is wedge shaped, plus tied with string and would possibly fall to bits
In the end I wrapped in a couple of layers of foil, into the cast iron pot & in a low oven
I also lobbed a ready mix packet of mixed seeds loaf into the Panny

Now the house smells nice & loaf is cooked, meals for the day sorted by default
Lunch, ham & salady sarnie, freshly cooked
Dinner, way I feel right now it could be same as lunch, seems pointless putting ham + salad on a plate when I can put it between two slices of yummy fresh bread :)
Here's the loaf just out of the Panny

Definitely never a dull moment PN  :)

I had a bit of a sleepless night last night, I was still awake after 1pm and then it got really windy, we were on a weather watch so not unexpected.  His lordship woke me at the usual time so I've not been firing on all cylinders today. I  caught up on some TV, books and a little bit of sewing which is a pain with the laptop, large monitor and other work carp taking over the dining room table so the sewing machine was squashed on the end.  Next year I'm going to stop putting things off and get the small bedroom sorted for office/ sewing room, I did have quotes etc in place to get the work started this spring, money has all been budgeted for the only problem is I've rethought the colour I want to do my lounge and dining room 🙄

lunch was a nice easy fish finger sandwich.  Dinner was a roast chicken dinner, I'm not sure what they were thinking when they added cooking time to the chicken it said 110 minutes for a chicken just under 1.5kgs, I doubted myself and whilst my nephew was texting me queried that I wasn't losing the plot and it should be more like 75 or 80 🤔 he did say he thought I lost the plot long ago 😳 it was falling off the bone after 75 mins

    Don't quote, will delete.

After the visitor with the huge case left right in front of the LL (I've checked, she did see it, but had her view hampered so wasn't 100% sure what she saw, but she definitely noted it was not the housemate, so a visitor).

The man in the en-suite didn't cause any more problems.

But, I then popped out for a cig and, going down the stairs, another housemate was sneaking a bloke up to his room..... by this point I wasn't going to let it go... so I said "It's lockdown.. nobody comes into the house. NOBODY" .. he mumbled something and I trotted off for my cig.  <1 minute later his chap left and went trotting down to the woods.... 2 minutes later the housemate trotted off to the woods.  grr.

Anyway, then I lost the Internet.  Not had Internet since about 9 last night, it's on again now...

Spoke to LL this morning, I'd left a "no Internet" note in the kitchen and happened to cross paths as I was coming in from a cig, so updated her with: 1/visitor left, 2/unexpected man in shower, 3/sneaking bf to room 4/ front door left 'wide open' by scuttling visitor :)    At least I know she saw the visitor leaving, so she knows I am not actually a psycho gaslighter myself :)

Interesting times you could do without PN, fancy having a huge suitcase, obvs intending to double up by sound of it, just good job LL is on site at least

The wind & rain has stopped at last, still dull but dry anyway
I've had a quick stroll around the garden, mainly to empty the old tea leaves bucket but some flowers, including roses & fuchsias are still out, very mild

Last night I finished up scoffing another frozen pizza despite having cooked the gammon joint :/
Today's lunch will be another ham sarnie, maybe with grain mustard?
Dinner, thinking of ham salad, with HM AF chips. Nice & easy

Phone call from Dr, have to see him tomorrow morning, it's all on the 'phone first to be assessed if needing a medical face to face
I can see the value of this method with SIL being a GP, wouldn't want to have everyone coughing all over them, as some of PN's fellow lodgers are demonstrating not everyone is a thoughtful as one would wish

    Good morning everyone,
"Wonky donkey" is making it's presence felt so a quiet day for me today. Still lots to do in the kitchen but it's not going anywhere.....
Sarnie for lunch and veggie pasta for dinner.

Hope the donkey isn't playing up too much Caronc, have you been doing too much in the kitchen?  :)

Considering I did very little the weekend seems to have gone by really quickly, someone has stolen my get up and go  :(

There will be a lot of chicken appearing this week  :) I may freeze the carcass or stock rather than souping it.  Lunch was a chicken sandwich with some salad bits.  I'm not sure that i'll have for dinner with it yet it will probably be something quick with rice or pasta

    Good morning everyone,
Yes Brambling a combination of over doing it, more processed food therefore too much salt and stormy weather I think.  He's having a properly good kick and yesterday ended up more or less written off. :(
Last night my son made a tasty stir fry for dinner but I could only manage a few bites, I'll have the LOs for lunch. I'm still feeling pretty grim so dinner is tbc.

'morning, dull & mild. Of to Doc's first thing, blood results, failed :(
Have to have a proper fasting one now
However that gave me a chance to go into the Co-op, needed a cuc, but spotted PB baguettes on offer, 2 packs for £1.50 so couple of them, BBE is January so ideal as XCFO standby

Went up the motor way to give the car battery a bit of a boost and dropped into the bottle bank while at it.
I don't have much glass these days but the sauce bottles, coffee jars etc slowly accumulate and although we have kerbside side glass collection it hardly seems worth while remembering the day due for one pickle jar

Lunch, another ham & mustard sarnie
Dinner, another ham salad with HM AF chips
Yesterday I had a HG apple plus some cheese later in the evening, I may repeat that this evening
