Dull day weather wise so good job I defrosted a FR gammon hock overnight
The GH is now in the slow cooker and will have a starring role in tonight's dinner
Lunch, has to be fresh fruit salad, I've my first ripe strawberry [pictured below], plus ripe raspberries and nearly [90%?] ripe cherries, the cherries are fine but I know they will ripen more, however it's getting a race now between me & other critters
Plus my neighbour has given me two too ripe for her bananas. Lunch was predestined it seems

Dinner, as above, the SC FR GH [slow cooked, free range, gammon hock].
I think with HM chips & fried eggs. I've an overdose of eggs at present, my C & C shopping had to have 12 not 6 eggs, it was that or nothing. Egg in the hand so to speak
    Here's my first ripe strawberry

    Good afternoon everyone,
I'm livid, IKEA have dumped two huge parcels in my porch pretty much blocking it.  :s Not only are they not for me but they should have been delivered to completely different address in a different town! They are not taking calls due to CV19 and trying to get a response via social media is proving fruitless. I'm now trying to track the person down via FB groups....
Needless to say I'm not in the best of moods!
Still more positively the last of my flower plants arrived earlier and it obligingly stayed dry long enough for me to get them potted up.
Baked spuds with chilli from the freezer, cheese, salad and HM coleslaw for dinner tonight.

    How irritating Caronc!

It's quite chilly here today. We had the excitement of our Ocado delivery earlier, lol.

I had vegan sausages with bread and salad for brunch and then spaghetti with broc and sweetcorn for lunch. Also a banana.

I'm making refried beans tonight to go on toasted pitta bread and another lot of salad and hot sauce on top.

I should put an offer in "£250k and you should be grateful ... look at the state of the cars that hinder the view, looks like a scrap yard out there. " :)
Offer £250k and promise not to look at the sea view which is what you're paying for  :)

I hope you didn't spend too much time trying to track down the owners of the boxes Caronc, if they don't take up too much room I would wait for ikea to track them down.  I bet there was someone cursing them as well waiting for their delivery

It's been a grey day which has kind of suited my mood 😐 it'll pass I'm just a little blah at the moment.  I was cheered up by watching a woodpecker sitting on my fence this morning, we use to hear them all day tapping but a neighbour a few doors down had to have a large oak tree removed a couple of weeks ago as it was dangerous so I haven't heard it since then 🙂 unfortunately the pigeons frightened it off, they are PITA with the veg at the moment I may have to net.

Food wise lunch was gammon and Brie salad, just one meal left on the gammon.  Dinner was easy gnocchi with wild garlic pesto with grated Parmesan.  The gnocchi didn't freeze very well or maybe it's been in there too long there's only one portion left which may get eaten or I may decide life is too short to eat it and have thar last of the pesto with pasta 🤔

It seems I never locked my front door last night, I realised when I went to let his lordship out this morning 🙄🙀 I had taken the key out just not locked it.  I've checked it twice already tonight.

Morning, it's turned cold today just as I planned a use up salad
Caron, fancy just dumping stuff, very annoying and not even knocking the door etc
Brambling, I've forgotten to lock my front door sometimes as well, mine's not Yale type so need locking.
Better than me locking myself out. I guess like me your area is not prone to casual burglars trying doors. I see on FB pictures sometimes posted of CCTV with folks going along roads trying cars / front doors just on the off chance.
If you're lucky Caron maybe someone will come by & nick the IKEA boxes from your door

After breakfast it was crack on & make some coleslaw & use up the LO cooked Jersey spuds into a spud salad
With the LO FR gammon, which was lovely BTW, I'm having salad for dinner, hope the weather turns right for it, sun's poking out just now

Lunch, thinking of toasted cheese on LO toasted crusts, with HM pickle probaly

I've ordered some pasta, tinned toms & pasta sauce with ND T*sco shopping.
Yesterday's garden patrol revealed  French beans are setting coming along well and soon there'll be loads, maybe a glut even, in anticipation I'm prepping for beans & tom pasta dishes
In the meantime here's some of my yummy cherries, first decent crop since I had the tree in 2012, everything came right this year, including good weather at blossom time

Brambling - I have left my kitchen window open all night twice during lockdown. It faces out onto the street! I haven't been checking things as normal during this time. :o

    Good afternoon everyone,
IKEA have responded with a resounding silence so the saga continues.
My front door is self locking but the back isn't, I've gone out/gone to bed forgetting to lock it a few times.
I'm going to be CFO again for a week from Saturday as my son has to return to the North East to do safety checks at a football stadium, it will feel very odd as bar for a few odd nights I've not been home alone since the beginning of February!!!
Apart from a gusty breeze the weather isn't too bad today, I had admin stuff to do and some ironing this morning but will be heading to the garden after my snooze. I think my sis is popping round for a socially distanced catch up early evening. Lunch was a salami salad roll with fresh peas and cherries on the side. Pasties, ayrshire potatoes, green beans and baked beans tonight for dinner.
