    Good evening everyone,
Another lover of liver and kidney here.
It's been a rough 24 hours with my nephew being admitted back into to the hospital in the early hours following a relapse of his existing (non CV19) health issue, consequently sleep has been non existent but hoping to catch up with the zzzzzs tonight.

Sorry your nephew is back in hospital Caronc it must a worry for your sister  <3

Its still cold and windy here and the cover of my mini green house blowing enough to be really annoying from the dining room table where I'm working from  :|  but at least I've seems to have weighted it down enough not to blow over, especially important with my seedings in it.  The cover isn't opened but the wind is getting inside and blowing it about.  Farway I hope your beans are surviving the weather change

Food plans today are easy as it is a day of LOs - Nasi Goreng for lunch and LO roast beef and veg for dinner I may mash some potatoes to go with dinner but it will depend on what time I finish work tonight and how lazy I'm feeling.

    Have a good day all

Sun's out but still cold & windy. Beans look OK so far, and my new [YS of course] mini greenhouse is holding it's own in a sheltered spot

Yesterday I finished up with corned beef hash using all the LOs. It was excellent, with a couple of fried eggs on top.
Today I feel more "with it", maybe I had a brief spot of lurgy without realising it? To celebrate I've taken a FR pork loin steak out to defrost for dinner

More good news, my super posh [and uncheap] cheese delivery is about due, I'm No 44 on the list, he's on No 35. It could be here in time for a taster at lunchtime
I love the little tracking maps used these days but from a drivers viewpoint I suspect they'd be a PIA

Lunch is therefore ?? maybe posh cheese with apple? Could go Ploughman's?
Dinner, the grilled FR pork steak, with Aunt B's roasties, steamed Savoy, celery, broccoli & carrots
Sown the last of this year's peas on some damp kitchen roll, the earlier ones are romping away but no sign of flowers yet

I'm not obsessed.... but another food offering just fell into my feed; I don't have it in my feed, somebody who has it in theirs shared it in a local virus information/supplies feed...
For four people only.... a sandwich, a scone/jam/cream, a tiny cake.
    Afternoon tea.... £24.

They've not even bothered to post a photo of what it might look like :)  I guess some will see this as "a step up from the frozen ones you had to bake yourself", at least that was only for two people (2/£22.50 delivered) - at least this one's for four and £6/head.   It's not special/organic/vegan-friendly/eco-aware locally sourced ingredients, it's just "a sandwich, a scone, a bit of cake".

    But ... let's return, staggered, to what you get: a sandwich ... a scone/jam/cream ... a tiny cake.
    £24.

    Blimey....

Sorry to hear about your nephew caronc hope all turns out well
Had enough of liver for this week so the last portion is heading for the freezer. Enjoyed it last night though with some spuds and leeks

So much for the Iceland priority slot ....that never happened it was just the wait screen which has been on all morning so as I didn't need anything on there desperately anyway I'll stick to my Asda ones that I can rely on.

Tonight its a peppered mackerel, prawn and smoked salmon platter with baguette, cocktail sauce, horseradish and tartare sauce idea stolen from one of my favourite sharing meals in the local pub . Probably have a cheese sarnie for lunch

In the time its taken to write this thread Iceland deemed to give me a slot so Im on for a greggs sausage roll on Weds :)

I had my phone appointment today. I think I would prefer that in the future instead of going in to see the GP. I am getting antibiotics and a nasal spray sent to my local pharmacy. The whole thing was sorted out in 5 minutes. She said I should get tested for Covid 19 but I said I already have.

I went for a walk and had some toasted crumpets and a banana when I got in.

I'm having 2 slices of pizza for lunch. I'm just heating it in the oven now. I will make a side salad too.

I've never liked the concept of sharing meals with people.  I'm definitely one of those "I ordered this, you ordered that - if you wanted this you should've ordered it" types :)
Most plated meals/foods have very few items I'd like... so you end up with less than you'd like, while you see somebody else "over serve" themselves with the 1-2 bits you'd eat.
It simply doesn't work with my strange food foibles and likes.... not to mention I fear other people's grubby mitts near "my" food :)

I've just made up the last of the Pot Rices.  I only bought one box of those and they didn't reappear in the warehouse on my subsequent visits.  Now down to the last 15 noodle pots too... 13 in my favourite flavour and 2 in my least favourite flavour.

I have to agree with you PN especially them nabbing more than they should of the thing I really wanted :)  I confess this is a sharing starter that I order all for little ol me as a main :)

Oooh, I love peppered mackerel, like liver it never seemed popular so was reasonable price, but then it started to get sold in packs of umpteen & cost more so it's a while since I've had any :'(  Good call on sausage rolls. I keep meaning to use mine but by the time I think of it it's too late

The posh cheeses arrived in time for lunch, it was ploughman's all the way, but cream crackers in lieu of crusty bread
The Stilton is super creamy, and the Pitchfork cheddar has the sort of taste I remember cheese should taste like.
    Pork steak defrosting well
Quick loop of the garden, gooseberry sawfly discovered & duly squished. Took me back to times on my Granddad's allotment, performing exactly the same squishing duties :o

    Good afternoon everyone,
    Your cheese sounds gorgeous Farway.
Your platter sounds just like the type of thing I'd order for a main Nelski though I don't mind sharing food in restaurants as I perpetually struggle to decide what to have!
I'm still shattered today so taking it easy. My nephew will be in hospital for another few days but might get home later in the week if things go okay.
There's some lamb curry LO from last night but not enough for two even with sides so I'm going to make some of Nadiya Hussain's baked bean falafel to go with it as I've been wanting to try them for a while. With some pitta and salad they and the curry should make a decent meal for us assuming they work okay. I've chicken defrosting to make a mock KFC tomorrow. Lunch was a cheese, ham and pickle sarnie with gherkins and grapes.
