Dull but warm, maybe a spit of rind arriving tonight

Car had major fails on MOT, it is twenty years old, so not unexpected. Waiting for it come back and then see about scrapping it. I have a replacement lined up, but it wont be as MSE as my old one. Road tax is £170 instead of £35, and no doubt insurance will be more, it always is! A few days on car mucking about ahead

Lunch, last of the fake Spam in sandwich + pickle

Dinner, Use up, sprouting potatoes as AF wedgies, near BBE grilled bacon, way beyond BBE fried eggs, plus clear out hanging around frozen sausages

    Good morning everyone,

A rinse and repeat weatherwise of yesterday here today. I have a hair appointment early afternoon and I'm hoping not to get soaked but we'll see. 🤞

Hope alone with Hector until tonight as DS2 headed early doors to North West England for a site visit. He'll back this evening via DS1's as Frank is coming to us for the next few weeks as they will be away.

Tomato and rice soup with some roast chook again for lunch. I'll be well chickened today as making this for dinner Chicken & berry grain bowl | Jamie Oliver recipes , it definitely has become one of our favourites.

Glad you had a nice break Brambling now I’ve got FOMO, the dolphins around here have been seen further north and south of our bay hopefully they will come in and visit us soon.

Yesterday I used up some odd bits and pieces for lunch, then for dinner made a moong dal and had it with a mini naan, AF broccoli and chutney.

There was leftover dal for lunch today and to use up milk that seems close to turning I’ll do a macaroni cheese for dinner with broccoli and peas.

Update - re the dolphins they came into the bay just before 17.00, a mixture of adults and a few young ones, first I've seen this summer 😍 simple pleasures

That's amazing N2BT, you're so lucky to live by the sea…one day 😊

Much needed catch up wfh day, got most of the list done! Back to cooler weather lunches this week so scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel today.

Feeling a bit under the weather with an annoying summer cold so haven't done much since finishing work. Creamy anchovy and tomato pasta with tenderstem broccoli for tea. I've also made a sandwich to take with me tomorrow (stupidly busy and long day 😬)

We did have some drizzle late morning I stood outside talking to the boiler man before he left enjoying it but unfortunately it was soon gone 😔

Gammon and cheese sandwich with tomato for lunch.

Chicken, LO new potatoes chipped in the AF and salad for dinner

    Good morning everyone,
I have dolphin envy, we sometimes get porpoises come into the harbour for a nosey.

Another wet day here though I did manage to get to and from the hairdresser yesterday without getting soaked.

I'm nursing a sore arm after a fall out with a wheelie bin lid that caught in the wind and crashed down catching my upper arm. It's pretty bruised this morning so hopefully will ease once the bruise is fully out. Housework today and I recently bought a load of nice wooden coat hangers so want to start getting rid of the current plastic ones. Having spent a small fortune on clothes this year I want them to last as long as possible. I still want to lose another stone but suspect my main clothes size for coats etc. won't change that much if I manage to.

LO grain mix and roast chicken salad for dinner. Tonight it's last tub of JO's beef and borlotti ragu from the freezer which we'll have with pasta and salad.

Rain at last, not much but it's a nice change

Spending too much time on trying to sort cars out, all the comparison sites making my head spin. I do wonder why such large differences in price, hundreds of pounds in some cases.

Asda delivery arrived, a few subs but nothing odd. The on offer salmon is well in date this time & looks a nice piece as well.

Lunch, Toast stale crust & decide what to put on it. Tinned sardines?

Dinner, because I'm helping with a hospital visit PM, dinner will be some ping ready meal

Being so close to the sea does have its downside JKS, at the moment low tide is very low so the seaweed starts drying in the sun and can pong a bit as well as attracting flies but for me there are way more pro’s than con’s.

We had quite a thunder storm and heavy rain yesterday, forecast is similar for today so the garden is looking quite lush.

I picked up some of aldi’s tapas selection of cold meats for a change, there’s two kinds of chorizo and some serrano so I’ll have that for lunch with some salad and a crusty bread roll.

I managed to save some cheese sauce from yesterday's Mac & cheese which I’ll use tonight with broccoli and have that with some of the gammon joint I have in the freezer, thanks for jogging my memory Brambling.
