Afternoon all.

NELS, Mum loves liver too 😯When I was in Goa, there was a bar that did liver , onions n mash for about £3 !It was very popular with the Brits .
Did anyone watch Captain Tom last night? What an absolute trooper he is 😍"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Another beautiful day here and I'm working some of it
not too bad as so far it looks like we shall be finished just after 6.15pm we are just waiting for IT in the States to finish something so we can do the final testing
I did managed to pop into M&S lunchtime between work tasks and it was lovely and quiet, I didn't need much shopping this week just a top up and I also picked some things up for a elderly friend. As I was stuck indoors so i could listen out for emails or skype messages I made sausage rolls using some local sage sausages from the freezer, I also made some cheese, potato and caramelised onion rolls sprinkled with fennel seed which unfortunately aren't so good, rushing I think i missed something. To save my waist line once i finish work I'll drop all but one of the sausage rolls around to my sister and nephew. I'll keep the cheese rolls and pop in the freezer.
Lunch was a HM scotch egg using the air fryer the egg yolk was still slightly softalthough it meant it was a b!!!!r to peel the eggs I had it with some salad sitting in the garden and there's another one left for tomorrow
Dinner will be nasi goreng as I have LO cooked rice so it will be quickishLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin3 -

I've decided I love salmon paste/cucumber sandwiches. I had another 2 rounds (4 slices + 1 pot) today.
I've also had a packet of Doritos, opened a new (4th?) bag of the 250g fruit pastilles, scoffed a noodle pot ... and had the last flatbread.
Hot here today, LL was out from about 11am, but with no clue when a return could be it's not relaxing... if I go out for a cig she can (does!) arrive pretty silently, not sure if it's an electric car or just new/quiet.... didn't return until 7.30 in the end. Never heard her arrive, just suddenly heard an outgoing telephone call ringing, peeked and she's parked in the driveway (which is right where I crouch) ... did the usual thing of sitting in the car for nearly 1.5 hours on the phone. How bizarre. You park beside your parents house when you're 17-23, not when you own the house3 -
Cool & windy day ahead, I didn't wake up until 0830, must've been more tired than I thought, don't think I'm "coming down" with anything, especially as I've not been out to catch anything nasty.Nothing was planned for the day anyway, except my shopping arriving via ND, highlight of that will be discovering what her choice of Penguin alternatives was.Not being a T*sco shopper I've no idea if they do copy cat Penguins, couldn't spot any likely on lie so just asked for whatever she thinks is similar. Before CV I could mooch round and find somewhere selling the real think on offer for a quidAbsolutely no ideas for meals, feeling very CBA today but a F Finger & tartare sauce sarnie sound like lunch, thanks to whoever put the idea in my headDinner, could be another stab & ping MFO.Last night's was Asd* Chinese style Chicken curry, OK for the money, but as standard Chines meal, hungry later so I had a sarnie watching the telePasturesNew said:d. Maybe she can't get good mobile reception on her service indoors?

candy yes I love liver after a 30 break from it due to my mum being a pretty bad cook so it being a dread as I was growing up. Course the quality is far better now and done with some bacon and a rich gravy its lush! Its also really cheap cos most people turn their nose up at it
btw I also love kidneys and beef cheeks .....I'll get my coat
Been offered a priority Iceland slot due to not been able to get one for a while ....I really don't need anything so this is not MSE savvy but they have some stuff I can't get at Asda like their seafood and frozen fish selection so I will fill my stores back up and chuck in a few treats too. Pastures I had to have some salmon paste too and for that I blame you
Today is of course the usual left over day so liver again with some leeks and jerseys Hobnobs in-between3 -
They finally picked up our Covid 19 tests today! It's been a week and three days since I started feeling ill so it is probably pointless now anyway.
I have a GP phone appointment on Monday as I think I need antibiotics as I have a sinus infection.
I just had a vegan sausage sandwich with ketchup and some leftover roasted veggies. I might see how busy the shop is when I go for my walk as I wanted some more salad stuff. I thought it was supposed to be chilly here but it's quite warm.2 -

No space for it, & 40 quids worth would be overkill I think. But reading the reviews, maybe I'll give it a miss, although the Morries RM is niceT*sco delivery via ND arrived, no Penguin look alike it seems, so it's Kit Kat kopies for this week

No I agree Farway would never buy it as a ready meal the one I get is fresh Asda lambs liver and costs about 1.20 cooked with some bacon and onion and gravy thanks to a hairy bikers recipe maybe £2 max and does me at least 4 meals
My mum eats mostly ready meals now and most look pretty awful but its easy for her (she's 89) personally I enjoy cooking atm so no need for the dreaded ready meal for one
I easily make up any shortfall to the £35 which it it is up here with some wine lol

Nelski I'm another lover of liver, kidney, beef and pork cheeks. I do miss the meat counter at W8itrose where I picked up many a good reduction at lunchtime especially livers and kidney
My mum was another awful cook when it came to liver, always ox or pig which is stronger tasting and cooked to the consistency of grey shoe leather 🤢 the rest of the meal was ok. I stick to lamb, calves or chicken liver
Farway I also slept in this morning as did his lordship it was nearly 9am when I woke up and after 9.30am when himself wandered downstairs and demanded his breakfast, I did go and poke him to ensure he was just sleeping 🙀 not sure if it was because it was cooler last night but sleeping in left me headachy this morning.
Having had a stress free day pottering and catching up on some sewing and knitting my time in the kitchen cooking dinner was less soI dropped the unsealed rubbish bag in the hall yuck. Then spent half hour searching for the eggs I brought yesterday (not sure why I put them in the bottom of the fridge in the salad drawer🙄) and forgot to do anything with the potatoes, carrots and Swede on for dinner
I didn't even prepare them just left them on the work surface waiting to be peeled etc
Lunch was scotch egg and cheese and onion roll with salad. Dinner was roast beef, roast parsnips, runner beans and cabbage. It was a small joint and shrank to just enough for two portions. I cooked some rhubarb and talked my self out of crumble
