I think the Red Arrows are supposed to fly past but I'm not sure if it will be near where I live.

I remember seeing them fly past my house for the Olympics.

    Good morning everyone,
No visible celebrations round about me, mind you I live on a main road and the back gardens are too private for any sort of socially distanced get together.
Farway I find the Tesco Finest Vintage Costal bite cheese really tasty if they have it in the store your ND uses. https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/299770148
My son has just headed to the SM as we are down to our last dribble of milk, he'll get a few veg bits as well to see us through until my grocery delivery on Monday. He's on holiday today and making us squid salad for lunch. Tonight he'll probably have a chippy so I'll be CFO, dinner will probably be a HM RM from the freezer or veggie pasta for me.

I saw the flypast mentioned on a local news FB page but couldn't work out from the map if it would be other here, i'll use the excuse to sit in the garden to watch out for it. Farway my sister was a MH nurse for many years in a hostel on outskirts of the red light district in Southampton, when she finished late on a Sunday or bank holiday my BIL would pick her up, he had to be careful where he parked the car and waited and often had to explain to police that he was picking up his wife and point to where she worked (the police all knew it  :| )   My sister use to say when your fat, in your mid fifties and just finished a 14 hour shift you wonder if being asked how much is a compliment or not (she didn't wear a uniform so it wasn't that)  :#

So far today I've done very little  :|  other than drinking tea and ordering some tomatoes, chillies and herbs from our local gardening centre who are sorting a click and collect service, previously they sold compost that way but now is the first for plants, hopefully as DIY stores are opening they will allow garden centres, especially as most have plenty of room to social distance.  I have some tomato seeds in my mini greenhouse but they were planted late and are very tiny so i could have a glut later.  I don't have a proper greenhouse so they only do well if we have a good summer.  I watched my lovely neighbour mow my lawn, does that count as exercise?

Not sure what lunch will be just that it wouldn't be bread related, probably eggs or maybe egg salad I see what grabs my fancy when i open the fridge door in a bit.  Dinner will be fish and chips which my sister will pick up and drop off

Off to put my washing on the line and then a quick potter in the garden, i need to clear a compost bin but have to claim back my garden sieve from my sister to do so and she is reluctant to part with it but i want to spread and plant my courgette and mini pumpkin plants on it,

    Have a good day all

Shame I didn't see this earlier, there's a flight map you could've looked at.  Here it is, in case, for next time.

    Today I've scoffed so far:
4 rounds of salmon paste and cucumber sandwiches
    1 packet of Doritos
    A handful of sweeties.

I'm bound to eat something later... it'd most likely be a banana as that's easiest and I've two here. It won't be another sandwich as eight slices of bread in a single day's more than enough!

I keep meaning to post more on here and then forgetting, but I come here lots for inspiration!

I had my first SM delivery in 2 months on Monday, and possibly overdid the veg order... my veg box then arrived yesterday! So today was grapefruit with yogurt and mint for breakfast; a HUGE salad with smoked tofu for lunch; mackerel baked with rhubarb and shallots this evening with steamed PSB and spinach cooked in butter and garlic. I have masses of fennel, but that generally lasts. And I need to make a batch of soup with all the ends/ribs/outer leaves/almost dead salad - it goes in the freezer ready for when I have my next round of dental surgery!

    Good afternoon everyone,
My bakery order arrived and it all looks scrummy -the morning rolls, scotch pancakes and loaf are massive! Lunch is going to be a bacon & mushroom roll and tonight it's steak slice, beans, peas and oven chips followed by a cake. Definitely not a healthy eating day.....
In true CFO style dinner last night was from the freezer -veg & butterbean soup  with spinach & polish sausage added and two buttered crumpets to dip. It was tasty and minimal prep and washing up. I've diced lamb shanks defrosting to make lamb saag for dinner tomorrow, I'll make the spice paste to marinade the meat in later.
The weather is so-so there were a couple of showers earlier but it's supposed to be dry for the rest of the day now, though I'm not convinced as it's pretty overcast. If it stays dry I'll spend some time in the garden before the cold snap arrives tomorrow and it's back to layers for a few days.

caronc your food sounds lovely must get some lamb shanks I love them and its been a while since I cooked one. Would also love a bakery delivery I seem to be stuck with white sliced with the bakery being out of action. I'm yearning for a crusty loaf still warm when you get it.

Delivery this morning and all in order bar pittas but I have wraps so will survive :) Tried to do a different from the last few weeks  plans ....not exactly out there due to availability of stuff but at least it's a nod to a shake up

Last night was a brekky a scone and some lemon cake ....very acceptable. Tonight I have hairy bikers liver and bacon planned so I'll do some jerseys and creamy cabbage to accompany. I know liver is a no no for many but I do love it and it boosts my vitA

Afternoon all, tried earlier but MSE was down at the time.
Scorchio here, roasting as I mowed the grass. Hard to think tomorrow is supposed to be 10 degrees lower once Caron's cold front arrives down here
Spitfire fly past was duly spotted yesterday. Some locals took really good pictures, not me though :(
Thanks for cheese tip Caron, I'll try that, the Finest range seems better bet, at least it is for my bacon & now cheese it seems

Lunch was cheese & HM 2013 spiced apple chutney. The chutney is really nice, one of my better ones and obviously fully matured now
Dinner, CFO CBA MFO stab & ping whatever I find first in freezer diving
