Today I started with a jam sandwich, then had a noodle pot, then another jam sandwich.

About an hour ago I took a walk down the road, mostly to pop by the bin and drop off my meagre bits (my bin rubbish is about the size of a crisp packet a week).  I wanted to look at the takeaway food shops locally, see who appeared to be offering what.  There's a Chinese, Indian, Chippy, kebab/pizza/burger place.  The first three do delivery only, the kebab place was open doors.  I was tempted to get a kebab, but resisted as I've already eaten today.

I then popped into 4ldi and emerged with: flatbreads, 3 bars of chocolate, 1 pot of paste, 2 bananas and a cucumber.  I did look for their £1.19 quiches (they only had a £1.45 one for sale) and I looked for samosas but these were entirely absent.  I couldn't stand/read the labels as the corner was inhabited by a woman spending aaaaaages looking at everything and pulling things off the shelves and putting them back and she looked the sort to be there forever.  Maybe they pulled the samosas, which'd be sad.

I bought 12 250g-packs of sweets 11 days ago. Left them in the boot of the car (out of temptation's way) ... once they're in this room I scoff them quickly.  So far I've got through two packs.

She who is to be despised has done a disappearing act again... been out 2½ hours now.  I expect her back in a bit, as it's a Tuesday.   Overnight stays have mostly been weekends to date.

I've eaten too much bread today, the last of a small loaf but I'm feeling a little blah because of it  :/ so no dinner the chicken will have to wait, lunch was a fish finger sandwich with tartare sauce, it's the last of the captain's fish fingers I brought some of M&s own brand  frozen ones at the weekend to see if the match his

I know, so quick. That will be so tempting in the future if I want a bottle of wine and a packet of crisps and I can't be bothered to walk to the shop that is 5 mins walk from my house, lol! >:)

Looked on mine and could have got a delivery by midday....thats impressive with all the stress of slot hunting. Thanks for the heads up. Like you Wed I may try it for an emergency wine and pizza run :)

I really need to change up my food plan next week I am getting so sick of some of it so my challenge is to have a totally different plan from sat. I am an avid watcher of all the chef programmes and yet still just cook samey samey. Add to that my copious collection of cook books and I have no excuse.

Yesterday was peanut butter on toast for lunch and stacked burger for dinner. Tonight its sausage casserole and maybe some tinned mackerel fillets on toast for lunch.

Yesterday I decided to give the car a run, having been stuck in since it all started.
Mostly to keep battery charged [no electricity in my garage or I'd trickle charge it] & fluids circulating, and being diesel to get up too decent running temperature for the particulate filter clean
On my way home I spotted "my" chippy was open, looked like walk in normal service. They do not have web presence at all so can't check.
That could be one possibility should the F & C crave arise beyond human endurance. Given a fair wind I could even walk there & back except the chis would be soggy by time I arrived home.
Meanwhile a Brambling style FF & tartare sauce sarnie will have to do.

Sunny & warmer day ahead. Nothing exciting planned, I may potter out the front & tidy the daffs, or at least poke them about a bit
Lunch will be a BLT sarnie
Dinner, rump steak defrosted, bashed & marinading. It's one ex L's offer pack. Not the best looking one in the pack but it'll have to do
I'll have it with HM AF chips + salad

    Good morning everyone,
In normal CFO mode the downside for me re only online shopping as infrequently as I can is it is so easy to get stuck in a rut food choice wise so I can empathise Nelski. Having my son here has been helpful (for us both I think) in shaking things up a bit I think. Hopefully when CFO resumes though goodness knows when that will be I'll keep the mojo.
It's lovely and sunny here after a chilly start. Today's tasks are to wash the front windows, clean the porch and put weed killer down on the path and gravel. My front garden is definitely needing some TLC after the winter and the recent good weather it's looking very uncared for. Tidying out the "Tupperware" shelves yesterday took ages but was definitely worth doing as they were a complete jumble.
Last night's spag bol ended up a bit of a mish mash as I discovered there was only one small portion of ragu so I made a quick veg/tomato sauce and added it and a couple of sausages turned into sausage meat balls to it. It was really tasty though not anything any Italian would recognise
Tonight we are having crispy potato cubes, chorizo, black pudding, baby tomatoes and poached eggs served on a chopped mixed salad. Lunch will be a salad wrap and grapes.

Think it's hot pizza for tea, with a jacket n coleslaw. Will pretend I'm back in Pizzaland in the late 80's .Think the deal was £2.49 for the above 😁

Welcome to cookbook anonymous Nelski, Caronc and I are founding members 😁

A quiet birthday for me today, my nephew made me my favourite lemon drizzle cake and came around after I finished work with my sister to share a slice carefully sat 6 foot apart in the garden, mutual friends also popped around so there was jigging of chairs to split us into three groups all sat at safe distances apart for half an hour.  I did get a bean cane out to measure the distance 😁

A pub just outside town are doing take away fish and chips on a Friday (they usually do fish and chip Friday and are meant to be good)  my sister will collect some for us but we will eat separately and not in the garden as her time slot is after 7.30pm.

Today has been a day of salad and cake.  Lunch was a spicy bean burger (no bun) with salad and dinner was the last of the chicken with new potatoes and salad.
