L's first thing, more blood oranges, I still doubt they are "proper" blood oranges, no reddish tinges or blobs on mine. They're OK though, plus more Gala apples while on offer. I'm in a fruit scoffing phase at the moment, but I note posh chocs are on L's offer this weekend so fruit could be off the menu ;)
I had to pop a repeat prescription in on way home from volunteering, there's a chippy next door to the chemist,so lunch was another lunchtime special fish & chips, £4.60 this one. Must be my unhealthy area, chippy near GP & the chemist. Not one near my dentist though
Dinner will therefore be not a lot, possibly use the last of the beef in a sarnie, with blood orange for pud?
Day of sunshine & showers, blooming cold though

I had to pop out earlier, get a kettle.... for my endless pot noodles :)
I'd heard of one of those "out of date/almost out of date" food warehouses local to where I was getting the kettle, so searched for it and wandered in.  What a wonderful place that was :)  I hadn't gone in to buy anything, just to have a nosey around.... but I did spend about £11 on four items.
I've got 24 packs of Walkers sriracha crisps (never heard of them/not seen them before). A case of ginger lemonade fizzy pop I'd not heard of before (gunna brand). A case of 12 naked noodles singapore curry flavour.  Some banana puffs or something, 12 bags/£1.   It would've been easy to find more to buy if I had my own kitchen/storage space, a good selection of "things I've never seen before"  and goodies galore.
While getting the kettle I also got a pot of toffee dessert, which was lovely - that was lunch :)
    Today I've had:
    1 banana, breakfast
    1 pack of doritos, breakfast
    1 toffee dessert, lunch.

I've got the final veg samosa I bought yesterday so I'll tuck into that now I've remembered it :)

Did you get rain today Farway ? The local radio was saying this morning that there was rain in Hampshire which would frizzle out before it crossed the border 🌧 which it did

A busy day at work today so we ended up working late, testing didn't go well again :| I hoped that it would improved the traffic out of the town I work in, unfortunately it was gridlocked and took over twice as long as usual to get home 🙄 temporary traffic lights on all routes out of town  :/  and the good news is they're closing part of my route got at least 4 months from June, I've told the boss I want to work from home or do 8-4 I'm not sure if I'll get my own way on that, I'll work on him   :)

Lunch was LO from last night lentil, vegetables and feta.  Dinner was cba LO veg from the weekend and a breaded cod fillet air fried and a dollop of tartar sauce

Yep, never came to much though, I'm quite close to the Sussex border so guess it ran out of puff by the time it got here. I did discover I needed to top up my windscreen washer bottle :/
Bright & sunny this morning, it was a lovely clear night, so clear I even went out in the garden just to see the stars before I went to bed
    Porridge breakfast
Lunch, thinking of fried egg sarnie
Dinner. Fed up with fish now, so I've frozen the LO fish fingers that were intended for tonight, it'll be bubble & squeak using the LO mash & veggies, with a couple of fried eggs

  • Hi guys.

I had a slice of toast before my GP appointment this morning and then I felt hungry on the way back home. I got a sandwich again from Coop and had some crisps too.

I've had two cups of green tea as well. It was quite chilly this morning but it has warmed up a bit and it's bright and sunny.

    Good afternoon,
I'm enjoying a couple of quiet CFO hours as my sister is out and the cat is snoozing. This morning has been quite chaotic with a splitting full hoover bag and the bottom falling out of a bin bag I was holding while my sis emptied the litter tray into it🤢. My younger son arrives this evening and I'm cooking a roast chicken dinner for us. When CFO I seldom cook a whole chook at once so I'm looking forward to roasting a full one. It's a decent size so there will be LOs so I might make a big pie tomorrow. Looks as though my sis will be here for at least another week unless my nephew gets discharged in which case they'll decant to an Air BnB though the car will stay here. Apart from not getting out he's settled down quite well and so far 🤞there have been no encounters with next doors cat!

🙀 It's the weight of the used litter that does it Caronc it's happened once or twice to me usually when I really don't have the time to Wash the floor.  Hope you enjoyed the chook, I love whole roast chicken until the fourth day of eating 🙄

We had a unexpected frost last night and unfortunately I hadn't covered the windscreen  :| and then I sat in traffic 45 minutes whilst the radio announcer kept saying he couldn't understand how bad the traffic into my work town was today and to avoid it!  I was luckier than the senior manager who sat for over 1 1/2 hours the other side of town 🙁

I've been really cba today and didn't fancy the lunch of LOs I had in the fridge so took in cheese and crackers and a apple.  I'm blaming Farway and PN for the small portion of chips I had for dinner, I took a slight detour on the way back from my sister earlier, I don't think I've had chippy chips since the end of last summer in Westbay  :) a good size portion and cooked to order 🐷

I'm guilty of never remembering where people live, or where they might have access to, so I'll post this link for people to check if they have one near to them.   https://www.rogerswholesalefoods.co.uk/

    Today I've scoffed:
    1. 1 jam sandwich, breakfast
    2. 1 packet of W's sriracha crisps, sitting in the car waiting for something to start so I could enter the building, they were as good as I hoped for (arrived 30 mins early as I wasn't sure where I was going)
    3. 1 banana, sitting in the car
    4. 4 squares of chocolate
    5. 1 of the noodle pots I bought yesterday (I got 12 for £4, so 3 for £1), they were really surprisingly nice, much nicer than the other noodle pots I've had before.  Naked Noodles, Singapore Curry.
    6. 1 pack of tortilla crisps
I think that's it ... lots of food groups in there... er, sort of.
Currently loving my choice to get jam/bread as making a quick jam sandwich is so easy. Loving those noodles, which is a good job as I bought 12 pots and was a bit concerned I might not've liked them. Bananas are also a welcome food in my current situation of "stay in room/eat food that doesn't need cooking and has 0/minimum washing up and mess"
