Agree with Karma - it's great that you're aware of the possibility (and I think we're all on the spectrum somewhere), so you can give him the help and love he needs, but it's too soon to be worrying too much about it. He may just be going through a rough patch developmentally (I sound like I know what I'm talking about, but I don't, so don't quote me!).

I'm with beanie - that's a great aim for the summer!

My experience having one of each that my DS was very behind DD in emotional awareness, still at 10 he finds it very difficult to control his emotions and lashes out especially if he thinks he's been made fun of, despite all the bravado and class clown tendencies he doesn't be like it when the shoe is on the other foot and someone is laughing at his expense, this seems to get worse just before he has a growth spurt so don't know if its partly hormonal.

He can also be funny with food which is a more recent thing, apart from the aforementioned growth spurt where he eats anything and everything!

Agree its good you're aware but i agree nothing to worry about yet i don't think.

Thnks guys! Yes I know, not much I need to do about it at the moment but keep a wee note of things. The school might bring us in to discuss things as he is still not managing to play with the other kids outside before school. Hopefully he will manage it soon.

Yes I'm going to just give him lots of love and time, try to talk to him about his emotions and practice counting to ten etc!

A mixed week so far but that's life!

Money wise things are going well, just completed a weekly shop which came in at £35. Haven't needed to spend on anything else. Got MIL to service my sewing machine and made a peg bag instead of buying. Should really make a lot more things!

A parent sent a complimentary email directly to two levels above me so that's always nice, feels quite important as work is a bit of a slog of marking and chasing at the moment.

I've figured out how to make things a lot simpler and enjoyable next year though, and already have it planned and resourced so in the future I'm hopeful I won't have quite so much running around to do at the end of term.

Looking forward to the weekend, ms datenight on Friday, haircut for us all on Saturday at a cheap salon. Community event and community beach clean In the afternoon. Hope the haircut costs about £15 for us all, we have a sinking fund for it anyway.

Sunday I should get some time to myself as the boys are at football, then hoping for a bbq later on?!

Sounds like the week is going well so far - I've had a cheap week grocery wise. Love that you made a peg bag! The sense of satisfaction is great when you make something, isn't it?

Fingers crossed for BBQ weather at the weekend!

A peg bag is a great idea to make! Part of me would love to try it with my inherited sewing machine, but the peg bag I have, while it's made of faux fur, was a handbag my sister made for me in sewing class when she was about 15, and I couldn't throw that away. You've just made me realise, over winter or something, a little project would be to decorate it with braid or something :)

Have a lovely date night :)

Thank you wannabe beanie karma and vix.

Date night was lovely £2 spent :)

NS weekend, apart from the haircuts £14 for 3 including a tip. and the community beach clean was great - free drinks and sandwiches provided by a local restaurant as a thank you.

The last few days have also been great, lots of marking. Still losing weight very gradually and doing exercise every day.

A relative has signed me up to deliver charity flyers, I am going to have to do it at 5.30am tomorrow :( So off for an early night. It's s one off thing and I've asked to be asked first next time.
