That sounds so tough
I have no useful advice because I've no idea what I'd do/what can be done. Is there someone you can speak to for advice that's not involved but would know the best route to take?

So apart from blubbering my way through my starter tonight at date night, things have been going pretty well in MSE life.
I found a brilliant pound shop in a town on my walks. Just bought a brand new diary with loads of blank space, so I have made it more bullet journal than my previous one. It is everything I hoped for and more
With the last of my xmas money I bought some walking shoes from aldee for £10. Have wanted some for a few years so I'm happy with this price.
Have amended weekly shop 3 week menu plan to halve red meat consumption and include no sugar and more fruit for OH. Grocery shopping was £62 this week, far too high again (£8 over last week, £12 over this week). Will look at this over the weekend.
DS1 is ill again so going nowhere again this weekend. I will see it as an opportunity to get lots done off my list and kondo!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Poor you! I've no idea what it is, because I've been offline all evening - but if it's something potentially big, remember that through work/ professional associations etc, you often have access to legal helplines - I've used them several times, they can be amazing.
Otherwise - nice, restorative weekend2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Give yourself some grace with the grocery shopping - £20 is still quite a small overspend xxx2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
Hoping you've been able to find some ideas / solutions to deal with the situation. A decidedly tricky thing to deal with. Hugs.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Thanks everyone. Beanie I would have taken you up on your kind offer of pming, I just couldn't really leave it all written on here just incase. I have a plan though and feel much better. next time I have a big issue I will just write it all down instead of getting all emotional first!
Karma, legal help line is a great idea, when I have more info I will remember that.
DS1 really has been ill and I didn't sleep well on Friday, so Saturday was a write off ! I played with ds2 and we watched some educational things, and then a flim.
Managed to check through the shopping and I think I could cut things down by £8 by reducing snack spends and a bottle of nice juice that I enjoy when I'm not drinking alcohol - it's good to have something nice and non alcoholic there.
We do have quite a few bits in the freezer so I will try to spend nothing on meat and fish next week, except for 1 pack of chicken.
I've had to rethink my approach to exercise. My back is sore, so instead of doing a little strength training every day, I am going to try doing 3 x 20 minute strength sessions Tues, Thur and Sat, with a proper warm up and cool down. The other days I will do yoga - sometimes yoga for back pain. I'll rest whenever I need to as well. I've requested a back support at work - or rather the physio did and I chased it. I have also been trying to get oh to relieve some of the muscle spasms and I've been having baths and putting gel on. I don't want to go back to needing painkillers.
Today I am trying out a new recipie - pulled pork in the slow cooker, MIL is coming for tea. Also to do:
- go for a beach walk with ds2, pick up some plastic
- play board games this afternoon
- plan week
-batxh cook, incl cheap healthy snacks for the freezer.
- shop and scan
- colour hair, pamper night tonight
My to do list from last week:
1. Clean and Tidy work - focus on marking and filing - half done.
2. Regular beach walks - sat and sun -pick up litter - to continue.
3. PM Self care yoga - changed to days when I need it and back care yoga organised.
4. Banking check and kids regular saver - not done.
5. maintain daily planner ticking off habit - yes!
To do next week:
1. Finish clean and tidy at work
2. regular beach walks +recycle some plastic
3. try new workout /yoga/back care routine.
4. banking check and kids reg saver
5. focus on healthy eating and hydration.
I'm now totally not addicted to sugar - turn down everything thats offered to me and feel happy about it. Just want to make sure I am not over indulging in substitutes this week, and also I need to set up my water bottle to take to work - I forgot a few times this week and didnt drink as much.
Ready for a nice relaxing productive Sunday and a new week!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
