Hope the rest of your weekend was as good as the first half :)

Your complex routines exhaust me just reading them, so do cut yourself some slack when they don't get done - you know you'll get back on top of things when you have the energy!

I know I think I make things sound a bit more complicated then they are (not a great habit for a ASN teacher!) but I did get to the fantastic amazing feeling of having EVERYTHING from my urgent and important list finished on Sunday. I actually caught up and started to get ahead on everything :A:T What a great feeling!!

So as long as I am kind to myself, my routines (basically scheduling time for doing a little bit of everything each day so it doesn't build up) really do help me keep moving forward.

I had great feedback from a parent who actually sent it to the head of service which will do me and my team no harm :) Also had a lovely card from DS1 today.

Tomorrow I'm going to try to clear up some loose ends, prepare and deliver a lesson after school and catch up on cleaning and surveys. Healthier eating needs to be a focus too.

Ooh, yes, I can imagine how good it was to get everything ticked off - well done! :D

And that's lovely about the feedback too - it means so much when you know everyone has such busy lives and has taken the time out to tell people how wonderful you (and your team) are :)

Thanks! I have to admit work has really taken it out of me over the last 3 or 4 weeks. I don't let me being like this, but I seem to be in a bit of a boom or bust cycle with my life, goals, health, money -everything!

When things are going well (ie calm at work) I can get on with life as normal, get things done and enjoy myself. When it isn't calm at work, everything seems to fall down!!

So at the moment I'm working on one good habit per day, and 15 mins on all my various plates to keep them spinning!

Good habits - I've stopped taking painkillers for my back and I'm focusing on prevention and natural remedies for pain. Today I stopped my daily glass or two of wine which just helps me relax ( I need to prevent and find a more natural remedy for this too!) tomorrow I'm going to focus on healthier food choices. Then more intense exercise (I'm doing 15 mins but I'd like to get my steps up to 10k/day instead of flopping on the sofa).

My 15 minutes a day things are exercise, ohs business, surveys, cleaning and something off my urgent list.

I have been playing with the kids a lot too, and they are loving the naughty elf.

Today i havent had pain killers or alcohol - yey! Tomorrows focus is harder, back to healthy eating. To make this easier, I need to have water and healthy snacks with me in the morning, have lunch no sooner than one, and keep at it even when faced with all the choc etc at work. I can bring them home for the kids instead.

Earthie, would it help to have a tasty non-alcoholic drink, instead of water?
