Your lunchtime really does sound wonderful, earthie!

Sorry to hear about the work frustration .... when you're trying your best, and the circumstances never seen to change, or even change for the worse because of other factors, it must be awful. Take yourself off on that beach walk in your head, relive it :)

Weekend sounds lovely - I remember visiting Beamish as a child, it's a wonderful place!

Hope you manage to get work under control.

Work is uncontrollable and very stressful. My boss actually sent me home early today as compensation for the things that I have had to deal with lately. I think I'm just going to have to let go of my standards of having everything organised and just so and just go with the flow and relax and not let it get me down. Focusing on my goals, and my family, instead of panicking, helped me today.

Manged a lovely walk on the beach with the whole family. Spending 15 minutes getting ready every day which is feeling nice - straightening hair and a bit of eye cream makes me feel a bit more put together.

MS done with my early finish this afternoon - £12 in.

Sounds like you have an understanding boss. I find that work gets in the way of family and my plots and plans. But it is necessary to live! Hope you are able to go with a more relaxed approach. Hugs.

I had another stressfull week and let work bother me at the weekend. I put up a big post on here about it but deleted it as I'm not sure where I stand legally. Anyway, although work isnt actually much better, I am handling it better and don't feel as stressed.

I have been getting loads done lately, helped by finishing a few personal projects and also cutting down my time on things - trying to do more in the limited time I have for my 'jobs'. Its going pretty well, and every afternoon I've turned the spare time into time wth the kids - going for a walk on the beach or playing a board game, when normally I'd be rushing around.

So banking completed and its a shocker for me because I have spent some of next years travel budget - well most of it :) on our 3 planned trips next year - Easter is manchester, liverpool and wales (£100 still to pay for caravan in Wales). Summer is Loire and Vendee in France all paid for (£1200 spent on everything, but self catering), and October is Barcelona and coast (£1200 half board all paid). I am ignoring Brexit. I have spent a long time researching and getting areas where we can really explore easily and soak up some culture and sunshine too (err well maybe not in Wales, but who knows?!). 2019 is our fairly safe and close year of travelling with the littlies, and if it goes well we will look further a field, for longer and look at campervan tours etc.

So back to money. I will update my signature(£1200 down but recoverable in 2019 as per above). OH not bringing in any money is tough on us and I think he is starting to struggle mentally. I'm not sure what to do to support him/encourage him.

    Hi earthie :)

Your planned travels sound really good - plenty there for the children, I know that free street events in Liverpool (and probably Manchester) can be amazing too. And Wales! What's not to like? Years and years of blissful holidays in North Wales, in all sorts of environments.

Haven't been to the Vendee, but I've had a couple of holidays in the Loire, and that can be utterly amazing. Barcelona too, you've made some really excellent choices :):):)

Sorry about the work stress, though, that sounds *really* bad :( Better safe than sorry in deleting your post, absolutely - but maybe you want a Word document where you *can* write stuff like that, even storing it in the cloud if you don't want it on your computer.

Hope the next few days are really good, I love the sound of spending more time with the children.

Thanks karma for the time you spent on your reply. I might need to write a few things down but for some reason I like writing here. Probably because I like the encouragement and the feeling that I'm not alone. I will just try to not give any details away!

Got loads of jobs finished today. Sorted out the last Christmas presents. Used a voucher and spent £20. I made my Christmas activities list, got up to date with cleaning, got a ms and a good survey. Processed some lemons and two pheasants handed in by the beater who lives near me. We will eat the pheasants when my dad visits in a few weeks.

Handed in library books my favourite summer read is "walking on sunshine" and I requested my favourite winter book "a year of living danishly". Eating and drinking totally under control today and I did my steps and a strength workout too. I wish all days could be like this :)

Had a lovely realxing day after a busy Friday. We were out last night at a fundraiser for DS1s football team. It was good fun but late (for me) so I have had a really relaxing day. A little bit of cleaning, some present prepping, and card writing.

I have realised that if I have a routine or schedule for things then they get done most of the time, which is better than them not getting done BUT I do have days where I cant fit everything in and I have a habit of beating myself up about it.

There must be a happy medium somewhere!

Tomorrow I am helping out at DS1s sponsored walk, and then we are doing the tree. Board games in the afternoon and I'll do a roast and batch cook for the week.
