Very sorry to hear your family news, earthie
"two at once" and "a chance to survive" doesn't sound good at all. Sending positive vibes for you all.
As for the money, well, Needhelpsaving makes a really good point - and you don't *need* to save more. But you're certainly right that you can't do it on your own. OH might not like the short term jobs open to him, but if they're short term, and the only way of bringing in money, then they're still an option.
As for you, young lady :kisses3::kisses3::kisses3: no point having a great budget and savings regime, if you've wrecked your health. Please take care.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Thanks so much, really appreciate your kindness.
One relative has been moved to HDU and has a long recovery journey ahead, but its looking good. The other has chemo coming up.
I can't talk about the money yet, but OH needs to start bringing something in for sure. Found a job I could do - 6 hours a week after school but I'd miss so much of the children's lives - not one for now - when they don't want me perhaps!
I can't sleep so I am doing bits and bobs, I'll clean when it's ok to potentially wake others. All of the Christmas presents are wrapped, I'm still waiting for a couple to be delivered, but we are pretty well organised.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

OH and I had a brilliant MS last night in a nearby town. His mum had the kids straight from school so I could get some more jobs done, and I also had a half an hour pamper in the bath with some candles etc- bliss. We had a meal and drinks and spent £2.50! Bargain! OH was in good spirits too.
Up in the night with DS1 who has a nasty cough so today we had a lazy morning. I'm teaching the kids a tiny bit of Spanish on the mornings as we wait for the school bus - it's going great, and we did a spanish colouring christmas thing this morning.
They are out helping at a community event for a few hours and then oh is meeting friends for a few drinks. I've found him another possible job to apply for but it's not casual. We will see!
I'm just enjoying reading diaries - not getting many surveys at the moment.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
