So today was tricky at work, I knew it would be. I managed to get a little bit tidier and I might have some time to myself on Thursday to clear my admin but not sure yet.
I am not an evening person, and OH has kindly offered to do a lot of the evening runs to football or clubs for me, so I am getting an hour to myself. I don't want to waste it and because I'm not an evening person I can't leave anything really important or energetic to do til then or it might not get done!!
Anyway I've decided to spend an hour on one thing to help me get closer to my goals. Just focus on something, maybe do research or organise something :
Mon health- me and whole family
Tue - money in
Wed - saving money
Thur - hobbies - reading/travel/languages
Fri - relationship with oh
Sat - fun with kids - film night
Sun - fun with kids - board games/chess/science experiments/art projects
This means that my mornings can still be full of all of the important stuff ( exercise, work on ohs business, surveys, cleaning) before the kids get needy, and then I get to work towards my goals more at night.
I might not get into this too much this week, I'll just focus on getting through the week as it's a tough one, but I'm excited to get properly focused on my goals

Really, really difficult week at work. It could be so much worse of course!! But a tough week with a child protection case conference plus 3 hours of very challenging intensive work per day just parachuted in on top of my normal work, and also working in the childrens units on Wednesday night. Needless to say I didn't get everthing done nevermind get caught up on things and I won't even mention that I actually wanted to get ahead at work - sigh.
Still - especially on children in need day - it is important to recognise that so many other things are much more important than work. The work I did do was important for vulnerable children. And also although I didn't get everything done, thats ok, it's an opportunity to do things better.
So the positives - yoga was lovely - I did 10 minute self care yoga and I loved it! I'll try to fit it in more. More positives - I managed to get the kids and their stuff to wherever they were supposed to be, and we had home cooked meals everynight (although one was a freezer creation!) I was home just after them every night but Wednesday. I started to read a book with DS1 that I've been meaning to read for a while, and we did a bit of meditation - room for more of this would be good. I earnt 2.5 hours to take back another time at work.
I only did one tutoring this week (other customer away) and not many surveys. I did half of my cleaning routine and half of my work on OHs business. No exercise and not able to even look at the beach - never mind run or walk on it! Stress levels high and lack of sleep a problem.
OH has a very bad back and can't help with cleaning although he's been great at everything else!
Opportunities:
Next week I am only doing 2 hours per day of the difficult work because I've insisted. I've scheduled it at 8.15 3 mornings, so although I'll miss breakfast with the kids 3 mornings I'll get that time back (4 hours 15 mins) and with work at the unit on wednesday night I will make enough for a whole day back which will be used to make a holiday cheaper somewhere down the line!
I have an opportunity to make the difficult work easier/more beneficial to me if I come up with a few ideas - win win!
Wednesday and Friday lunch I WILL go for a walk on the beach. I WILL do the self care yoga as much as I can an do meditation at night which should help with my sleep.

I have started using trello to make life a bit easier at work and its great - I definately would have forgotten things this week without it.
Some more good news - and the reason I wanted to get all of that out of my head - was that we have a holiday on Friday and Monday - I'm about to switch my work phone - and brain- off!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Hope your time off give your batteries a chance to recharge! Life does sound rather full-on at the mo, so self-care is super essential.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Had a lovely weekend. Spent about £5 on the old fsirground at Beamish and spent £9 swimming, which wasn't great value as it was freezing and we only spent forty minutes there. Still a great weekend!
Not great sleep, hut didn't feel tired. Now feel exhausted!! Today has been frustrating at work already. Not much I can do about it but keep busy and keep moving in the right direction. Got up early and did my work as planned, but I have an unscheduled at home lunch break so I'm planning to exercise and get ahead on cleaning.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

It was lovely beanie, walk on the beach in the sunshine, with a family of ducks and a rainbow for company. Loved it.
Also did my bathrooms and dusting. A frustrating afternoon at work - surprise surprise, but I'm tutoring after work and then after the tea time madness I can relax with ds2 (ds1 and oh at football).
OH is really taking over a lot of things for me which is great. As long as I use the time well
I'm really surprised at how this recent stressful period at work has affected me - I think normally I'd be much more chilled out about it all so I need to think of ways to manage this work stress. After this week I should have all the extra hours I need saved up, so the week after I can try to plan the days to be more within my normal working day and ensure I get my lunch breaks and admin time.15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
