If the exercise class is good and fits in with your personal goals, then do it. But wasn't dh going to do the football run? And when would you then do the grocery shop? Would you be rushing to squeeze it into another time?

Toying with the idea of joining an exercise class when I drop DS2 at football. Its 45 minutes at the same venue and would cost me £3 a week. I'm supposed to be saving money though, not spending an extra £12 per month!!

It is a good use of time though as I'm at the venue already  What do you think?
Why does it have to be a class, earthie? Why can't you, say, go walking during that time? That popped into my head straight away :)

I have to admit that when I'm busy (especially with work) the first things to go are surveys. (Not the rest of that category, mind you!) Do you need to do them now you're mortgage neutral? (I never thought I'd say that, but they offer very little ROI and you are *so* busy, usually with more important things!)

    Thanks for the advice.

I will probably walk around the outside of the pitch a few times, but I won't be getting as much benefit (in terms of losing weight progress) from the time. I would feel silly running around the pitch 50 times, and I have to stay in the area as I'm responsible for 3 kids. I have to do this footie run (ds2 won't go with OH) and I'm getting him to do my Thursday run.

Talked myself out of paying £3 per week and I'll see how I go with walking around.

I'm going to do the grocery shop on a Friday at lunch time. With doing all my laptop stuff in the morning, I'm freeing up lunch times for a lunch date with OH, grocery shopping, and gardening and beach collecting of seaweed 3 times a week.

I am determined that I get to relax at 9pm everynight, and as per karmas advice most of the important things should now happen earlier in the day :)

I know exactly where your coming from, I have been looking at local Yoga classes and I can't bring myself to pay the £6-£8 that they are asking per session, I also don't think I would relax as much as I do at home as I'm not good with being surrounded by strange people and would feel so self conscious, so i'm going to continue doing it in the front room with youtube for now.

Well done on everything else I really admire how you manage to use your time so well.

Thanks penny! I think I plan to use my time well but something always happens, suppose that's life!!

Very very tired as we've not been sleeping so well and the hour change has meant the kids are up early and I'm not getting as much done. Ds1 also having a tough time of things and I've had to contact the school.

Good things - I've been good with eating and batch cooking. I've got 3ll s to lose and keep off.

These use up/ something out of nothing ideas were posted on TOPM's thread by verbatim and wanted to keep them somewhere for my 'use up' week.

    bottom of the fridge risotto
lentil shepherd's pie with any veg topped with mash and cheese
savoury danish (yeast dough rolled like a swiss roll and spread with any savoury spead plus any chopped cooked veg and cheese). Roll up and cut into slices before baking. Gives loads and left overs would be good fo packed lunches
TOPM also did flatbreads with chickpea curry type thing which sounded nice.

Feeling so tired but limping on. I've got loads completed off my to dO list - home insurance, some xmas presents and birthday presents ready to post, recent returns ready to post, refunds chased being the biggies.

I have done an extra lunch time's work on surveys/extra cash, which gives me a bit of time to do banking tomorrow.

My new reoutine is working as I can get ahead and then swap my lunchtimes around.

    Its going ok Thanks beanie!

I'm so annoyed as I have loast my watch. It wasn't a smart watch or anything, but it was a bottom of the range ecodrive one, that doesn't ever need batteries. It had a little crack on the screen and would have hardly been worth anything to anyone else, but I loved it.

I think I might have lost it at the pool on Saturday, but no one has handed it it. I think I'll go to the pool and ask to look myself today, and I'll double check bags and car etc but it's not looking good.

To replace directly it'll cost about £200 (bought for £50), so I won't be replacing it, and it's not worth claiming on onsurance .

Nevermind, its only a 'thing' and doesn't really matter.

I'm a bit behind on everything this week - more problems with DS1 and 2 at school, but the headteacher is on the case and I am confident it will be dealt with. I also had a few more very sleepless nights with back pain but physio has strapped up my back which seems to have helped yesterday and last night.

Great cheap halloween here - I spent £6 on a costume for DS1 in the end and it should last him a few years. In the charity shop I also found a smart tailored coat that will smarten me up a bit, and the money goes to charity (£8) - win win!

So really not a lot of good news, but you make your own good news, so I am off to put lots of effort into making today a positive day where things move forward.
