Thanks it was lovely. Struggling with a few things since I came back. FIL is still deteriorating mentally and is starting to insist that mil is in the house with him all the time. I managed to spend the day with him on Saturday half at his house and half here, and got him over here to watch the footie this afternoon.
I have tried my best to help with the calm and positivity battle he has, suggestions for keeping busy and we have made a plan for every day to try to reduce the anxiety and confusion. I've planned out all the appointments and forms for hospital trips and who is going etc.
I know I've done too much, given too much of my time and energy and it might not work. He might not improve. I know that getting too involved and sharing the "looking after" of him and my mil is going to be tying and it's optional. I'm only the daughter in law.
But I decided to go for it as I know this kind of stuff helps improve mental health. I've offered to spend the day with him every Saturday so my mil can go out. Oh is going to have him for a few hours most week days. If he agrees and goes for it. It's a lot for me to give up, I can't go anywhere on a Saturday, but at least I will have tried.
I'm worried he will dislike me because I'm pushing him, and I'm worried his children will think I'm taking over. I'm worried if I don't do it I'll miss the chance and he'll contumiue to deteriorate and it'll be harder and harder to lift his mood and he and mil will become prisoners at home.
I've been assured by oh that it's ok to interfere/help but it's still concerning.
It will be ok in the end. And if it's not ok, it's not the end.
I've also achieved a healthy shop for £50, got some more hen food and completed a back to school inventory (ordered new school shoes fir ds2 for £17 with voucher). I have completed another weekend of online teaching hours. I have 2more weekends if this left.
I am going to take this evening for me. I've been eating really healthy which is good as I have 21pounds to loseI'll stay hydrated, get a good sleep and start afresh in the morning.
Haha wish someone would come and calm me down and plan my day!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

I do not think that what you are doing for your in-laws is in any way interfering. It is caring. It is loving them. It is awesome.
But, please, do take care of you too xNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
