The 123 works out less than the halifax for me.
Nothing stops you from having both (and getting a switching bonus from Halifax as well).

Can anyone suggest any Donor accounts?

I would like to start earning through switching but dont have any current accounts that i want to close, so starting from scratch are there any simple accounts to open to get me started.

I guess they would be non incentive accounts so that I can set them up with a couple of DDs and start the process.

    Thanks in adnavce.

The usual suggestion to this question is to get another with one of your existing current account providers. However, you may not wish to 'annoy' them (especially in light of what's reported to be happening to some LBG customers), so may decide to go elsewhere.

If you do decide to go elsewhere, then in my experience branch applications are the quickest.

Is it any better to choose the likes of NatWest/Barclays or Coventry & smaller banks, or makes no diffrence.

Morally you mean? Well that's a decision for you.

I used all the large banks, but mainly RBS, NatWest, Lloyds, & TSB for my YB £150 assault earlier this year.

Nationwide FlexDirect £75.75 currently with TopCashBack
  • Interesting article about the top banks for customer experience on alva-group . com called The Top Three Banks for Customer Experience.

Number three is Halifax and its high position is largely due to their gifts that have been featured on this site.

Good to see that Martin Lewis and forums like this are having a real impact on the public's perceptions of these huge institutions.

Even if that was true, why would it be good?

Isn't that the point of these forums? To make the public aware of the best deals and in doing so, to encourage the other companies to try similar or better initiatives?

Also, the article is all based on data so there is no question of truth.

So "based on data" equates to "truth"?
