    Halifax account. To qualify:
    • Spend £500 on your debit card each month
^^The Halifax website say you have to spend it on  your card... ie at retailers

Or, do what I did this morning.  Fund an NS&I Direct Saver with £500 using your Debit Card.
Then pull the funds out, if you want to, after the funds have cleared (about 10 days later).

Very few providers let you make deposits by debit card into your own accounts. Skipton, NS&I and some investment firms like iWeb are the exceptions.

The Skipton account is the Online Bonus Saver Issue 7 which was excellent for instant access as a feeder account. I kept it with a nominal balance (for the RS) but I'm not sure whether it's still available or whether their eSaver would work the same way. When you click on deposit funds, the option to use a debit card shows. For now anyway.

Open an NS&I Direct Saver.  Make debit card payments in, online.  Never tried on the telephone.

You only have to fund the account - you can withdraw it again straight away.

    No.

It is a current account, not a savings account, so no expectation for money to not be spent as per normal.

You may be looking at old info?

For Santader 123 lite, there is no bonus, pay in at least £500 into your account each month and have at least 2 active Direct Debits and log on to Online or Mobile Banking at least once every 3 months to get your cashback.
    Wearing my other one today.

The bonus referred to is presumably the current switching incentive....
