My clearscore report has updated today and NatWest have managed to do 2 hard searches. That's without an overdraft.

I think it's more a problem with Clearscore. I've had 2 searches registered against me with both Natwest and M&S. Both searches are recorded as being on the same day.

As it happens, I checked my £2 report with Equifax the other day, and that has just the one search for either.

Wasn't it the debit card number for the account you are going to switch into Natwest that was asked for?

  • Yes but I lost that card so have opened without switching & will request switch before expiry date of incentive

My switch completed today. I had applied on the 14th and had existing internet and app access. They somehow messed up my app access because allegedly I had logged in from another device (I had not) so it had to be re-authorised. £1,500ish deposited and withdrawn, so I am ready to receive my £125. All in all quite painless so far.

Certainly think I'm starting to lose the plot (and I thought Yorks Bank was bad!!)
Tonight I have an e-mail 'Welcome to your new account'

"Welcome to your Select account. That's it all set up now so you're free to start using it as soon as you like. You'll find lots of information on our welcome page on how to get the most from your account."

So far I have my been sent customer number.
I asked for my a/c & sort code- not actually supplied in any doc!
    No debit card.....
How to get the most from my account?
:naughty: Stop treating me as if I have second sight!!
without the debit card I can't proceed......
Perhaps such things have been sent and are stuck in the postal system?

This is truly a left hand, right hand affair- and never the twain shall meet....
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
