good to hear you successful
As the Nat West web site shows the offer is also open to existing customers I thought I'd give it a go
I've just been told by the Sales team this is not in fact the case .
I challenged them on this drawing attention to their web site clearly stating that it is for existing customers but was told there had been some confusion about the wording !!!
I'm disappointed
The only person confused seems to be the sales person you spoke to!
The T&Cs are very clear that existing customers can benefit. I also rang the switching team the day after I'd done my existing customer application last week (because I'd had no confirmation) and during the call I asked if it would qualify. They said yes. I would trust them more than the sales team.
That said this is a good reminder to save a copy of the T&Cs as linked by KTF so you have them to hand if they later deny you the bonus and have changed/removed them on their system.0 -
Trying to do this for my husband (not new to Natwest as we have a joint account, but needing a new sole account for this) we also experienced applying late at night on Tuesday and getting just a holding message saying he'd hear back about his application in 3-5 days. He tried again mid-morning today and it sailed through, account opened instantly, switch applied for.
I recall when we applied for our joint account a year or so ago we did it late at night and it also got "stuck" and we never heard back until we chased it two weeks later then had to do it again anyway. For some reason their server really does not seem to like applications outside normal hours.0 -
Switch completed today and everything set up. Will pay in the required £1500. Not sure if it has to be every month to qualify for the criteria but will pay in on a monthly basis just to be on the safe side. Also I chose the Select account.0

Just need to pay in £1500 before 16 March for the switch bonus. Not a monthly requirement.0 -
My switch will be completed next week. Had a letter today from YB confirming switch. Will pay £1500 before 16/3/18 to get bonus. Very nice and easy for £175.0

Ok. i received the Account Application Form today for a REWARD (PRIVATE) current account. I spoke to the switching team who advise that if you do not qualify for the PRIVATE account they will open a standard Reward account anyway.
Not sure that I trust them not to turn this into a dogs breakfast so I'll be watching progress carefully.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

To get the incentive it has to be applied online. Here is the link to the existing customer switch, and the link to the wording on the website.
