  • The last-but-one bag of venison is now in the slow-cooker with veg and the remains of an open bottle of cider. Smells good!
May do sweet potato wedges with it - we got rather a lot of them in the veg box, and I've become rather partial to them.

  • I made a turkey and ham pie with tarragon in a creamy sauce served with broccoli and brussel sprouts.  Had a Passionfruit brûlée for pudding as I had lots of eggs to use up and made some for on NYday too.

We had use up buffet. Lots of bits such as pigs in blankets, mini pizza, breaded cheese, dips, pineapple and cheese on sticks, salad and I made Delia's lemon potatoes.
    I really enjoyed it.
  • For lunch, the remainder of the HM rolls with cheese and pickle. For dinner, HM pizza - one pepperoni, one veggie - with leftover Xmas bits. Mozzarella sticks, Mac and cheese bites, crisps and salad. Bottle of Prosecco for DH and I!

Anyone else really really bored of eating? 🤦‍♀️ Roll on January.

  • I don't even know what day we are on?!! Ok...lets see. Tue I cooked chicken and made soup.  Last night frozen lasagne. Today at lunch time rest of the chicken, honey glazed carrots, mash, gravy. This evening I'll cook up some buffet/oven snack food to have with some drinks and prosecco.

More room made in freezer until daughter came home and filled it with vegan ready meals 🙄. She is doing veganuary.

  • Last night we had a tapas meal with board games. I made albondigas, Spanish tortilla with chorizo, chorizo and chicken skewers, crusty bread and olive oil/balsamic to dip, potatoes bravos for DH/DS and I made a celeriac version for me, garlic prawns, salad.

Today we will be having a pork roast dinner with passion fruit brûlée for pudding.
