Im craving crumble now! One of my regular walks, there is a pear tree, an apple tree and lots of brambles hanging over the road, im dying to make a apple and bramble crumble now – darn slimming world, might do it at the weekend!

Tonight’s dinner is pork sausages and roasted vegetables, lunch is a tuna BP

Blackberries are all but finished here now,  any left are either tiny and past their best or sun dried.
There is a fig tree somewhere on a run I've done before (from a garden hanging over a wall to the pavement) would love to see how they are doing...except i can't remember where it was
Had crispy fish pieces with the last corn on the cob and some LO beans for dinner today.  Trying to be good and use things up, and make room in the freezer as before i know it I'll be trying to wedge xmas food in there.

Rach - I am doing keto 👍 I’ve lost a stone so far, another 3 to go - I was super fit and slim 10 years ago, gave up running, didn’t give up eating, so huge weight gain over the years, time to change 😊 TBH it’s not a huge faff eating this way, apart from bread (homemade delicious bread) most other carbs I’m not a big fan of, pasta = yuk, rice = Mehhh, potatoes = take em or leave em.

tonight we’re taking DS2 for dinner, he’s been staying with us for 2 weeks, we’re his ‘bubble’ - going to miss him when he goes home 😭 restaurant has given us a side room they use for private dining, we know them well, so no worries about distancing 😊 I’m hoping the have their amazing belly pork on tonight - it is amazing... that and tenderstem broccoli will do me 👍

I miss  potatoes but the things I can eat outweigh the things I miss. Got a cracking recipe for keto bread if you want it: https://madcreationshub.com/recipe/low-carb-bread-recipe/
I'm having chicken, roast veg and celeriac dauphinoise with snickers cake for pudding.

  • Hi everyone
Its so interesting to see what everyone makes and gives me loads of different ideas on what to cook for tea, being a bit boring today and making a garden cottage pie, comfort food!!!!! and hopefully there will be leftovers for either tomorrow or freezer for another day.

  • Ordered a Chinese take away last night. We had soup each and shared ''duck with cashew nuts'' and fried rice. Tonight we will share the  ''Happy family'' dish, with HM boiled rice.
  • Takeaway! Mixed tandoori with saag paneer.

Do you make the crumble with regular eating apples? As opposed to cooking apples. I've tried to make it with regular apples in the past, but they just didn't break down very well. I have a glut of apples at the moment and now no idea what to do with them!

Dinner will be lentil ragu, from the recipe on the BBC website. I was recommended it a few weeks ago and have already made it twice. Tasty, filling, and a good way to get some veg in.
