I made a lamb curry on Tuesday and there is one portion left in the fridge, so that will do nicely. I don't know why, every time I have had a lamb curry from a restaurant (apart from the first time I had Rogan Josh) the meat is chewy and lacks flavour all the way through. When I make a curry, I brown the meat with the onions, then garlic and spice paste, then use the chopped tomatoes and liquid, saving the garam masala and chopped coriander until the end.

I do think the secret to making a good lamb curry is to cook it long and slow. We have a favourite Indian restaurant, and they cook Rogan Josh (one of my absolute favourites) wonderfully but we haven't been there since before Covid hit - I do miss eating out!

😔 are you stuck in a local lockdown C_J?
Our local Indian is doing the Eat Out scheme, stopped by the shops last night and it was virtually full, even on a weekend it's rarely very busy (nice restaurant but just doesn't seem to be best located for regular turnover)...it's now on our list too in Aug.

Tonight was the last of the Jersey Royals, cucumber and tomato and some quorn nuggets. Bit of a mix up but finished work late.

No, we're not in a local lockdown kerrie but we have been shielding - Mister CJ is classed as clinically extremely vulnerable because of his cancer and associated treatment - and although lockdown has eased we're not confident enough to brave crowded places again just yet!

:(  that's entirely understandable CJ, on the positive side, think of the inches you're saving yourself...I'm going to be the size of a house come Sept if I don't do something, annoyingly although the gym is open my fitness class still isn't back.

Really enjoyed the Larb last night, loads left over, so that’s lunch today
Friday night is date night, so are having a takeaway, far too hot to cook, a few G&T’s might be in order too 👍
