Bacon Butties for breakfast so just a pear for lunch.  For dinner tonight we are having steak with mushrooms and fried onions, served with a mixed salad and half a jacket potato each.

I have an enormous joint of beef simmering gently in the slow cooker with some red wine, thyme, garlic and rosemary. It’s a much larger joint than I would normally have bought for just the two of us, and it only just fits in the slow cooker (but I can’t complain, I was thrilled that I managed to get a home delivery slot and the quality of the beef looks superb).

We will have this tonight with a red wine and port gravy, mashed potato, cauliflower cheese and green beans. I’ll portion up some slices for the freezer, and will browse tinternet today for some ideas for what to do with the rest of it. I expect there will be a cottage pie made, but there will still be heaps left over!

Morning, no breakfast this morning. Lunch will be left over chicken from last night with a side salad. Supper tonight is roast leg of lamb. I got a half leg reduced to £8 ish plus a further 25% staff discount. Served with homemade roast potatoes and roasted vegetables. Pudding will be angel delight butterscotch pudding. I spent the morning baking biscuits so the tin is full for hopefully for the next week or so.
