    Welcome to the thread metherer

OH is picking at bit today so I got some parsley sauce out of the freezer and some roasted butternut squash (could've sworn I had some LO Thai green curry sauce but can't for the life of me find it) picked up some king prawns when we were in town so I'll have some of those with it, and some rice / quinoa combo. Quite looking forward to it.

Thinking I might get the pork loin out of the freezer I locate and defrost / cook that tomorrow - can I just roast it?

I roast it with a glaze to give it a bit of oomph. And not for too long else I find it dry ( not my favourite cut of meat)

If I’m really not feeling the love I give it a dry rub and slow cook it for pulled pork.

Tonight is chilli salmon pasta. Quick and easy and really satisfying on a cold day like today

DH is at work now but has made me an individual pie to cook. Its got everything - chicken, ham, leeks (from the garden) and potatoes. I've already had the slice of cheesecake he left me for dessert.
Spend less now, work less later.

Omg I love pulled pork (had it several years ago in North Carolina before it became big over here) ....I take it I can just do it low and slow for that? It was YS hence I picked it up and since then it's been in the feeezer. I think I also have some kind of rub or dry marinade packet to use up so two birds with one stone.

Last day of our rations, so the cupboard is looking a tad bare.

Lunch was leek and potato soup with the last of the cheese, then we were planning to go out for fish and chips tonight, but it is cold, and I'm pregnant, tired and lets face it lazy.

So, bit of a cobbled together dinner. Homemade chips, bread, pickled shallots, and some lentil spread. Sounds an unusual mix but it worked.
Not heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.
    Baby due July 2018.

Actually turned out to be not much cop, would've been better with white rice I think and the squash didn't really go. Still, filled a gap and used a couple of tubs from the freezer so can't complain.

Going to investigate what I can use as a rub for pulled pork. Asda also used to do a lovely quick marinade sauce thing but I think I used it all up. Might have to get something similar, and pickles....nom nom

Whoo...just checked, I have a BBQ rub / marinade in the cupboard :j going to slow cook the pork (once decorated) in a roasting bag to try and keep it juicy.

I also have some brioche buns in the freezer....seems like a meal that was destined to be :D

Also defrosting a small rump steak that I wasn't impressed with from lidl (prep one was tough and gristly) so I'll slow cook that too with some LO stout and turn it into some kind of stew after - have LO cranberry and port sauce in the freezer too so that can go into the mix.
