  • I cooked some chipolatas last night in case we lost power in the storm  so lunch will be some of the leek and potato soup I made yesterday and supper will be a Swedish sausage and potato salad to use them up.

Roast beef and all the trimmings for us tonight. Blackberry sponge and custard for pud (the last of our homegrown blackberries from the freezer).

The storm sounded dreadful all night, but everything seems to have gone eerily quiet now - hopefully it’s passed!

Steak pie, roast potatoes and peas for us tonight.  Homemade cheesecake for pud.

Not entirely sure what tonight will bring. Going to turn a veggie whirl thing that OH didn't like into some kind of stew for HM readymeals.
Aside from that dinner might be something like toast and eggs.

  • Very busy in the shop this morning (half term) and later home at lunchtime than I was prepared for so just had cold sausage and pickle sandwiches rather than anything cooked.  Supper tonight will be potato gnocchi with tomato and basil sauce and grated cheese and there is half a YS rhubarb pie left for pudding if we want it.

A proper stodge fest for us tonight - I made cottage pie using the leftovers from yesterday’s roast beef, and then we had blackberry sponge and custard for pudding. Just what was needed on this miserable wet evening, but now I am so full I can barely move!
