  • Out for pizza tonight, owing to two main reasons.
Our water pump has failed, leaving us with stewed tea coloured water when we instigate the manual (ahem) operation of the pump (kicking is a form of "manual" persuasion, isn't it?). And I sliced the top off one of my fingers whilst using the mandolin to finely cut onions for lunch.
In light of these two factors, cooking and washing up are off the menu.

Using the last of the charcuterie as a base for a pasta sauce also uses some of the summer cherry tomatoes we froze from the garden

We’re meeting friends for a drink after work, not sure if that’s ‘out’ or ‘out-out’ so have sort of planned cheese and crackers etc (Christmas leftovers) if we don’t go ‘out-out’

Does that make sense Ha Ha :D

Believe it or not there’s a wee bit sweet and sour left so having that on a baked potato at lunchtime and tonight something with chicken, might make a very quick pie with the veg that is left.
  • Dinner tonight will be cheese and bacon omelette and chips.
  • Lunch will be the rest of the crustless quiche I made yesterday and some home made 'bottom of the fridge soup'.

Dinner tonight will be vegan pea and mint burgers in buns with a nice mixed salad,
