Went around to some friends to say Hi & Bye! They're off to somewhere hot and far away for Christmas and the New Year.
Stayed for a supper of a Charlie Bingham Macaroni Cheese ready meal and a glass or 2 of a chilled white.
Have seen CB at Waitrose but was always put off by the price (£7.50) coupled with a slightly stingy portion size (1 isnt enough 2 is too much)
Having now actually eaten one I can happily say I have no desire to ever eat another. The Macaroni Cheese was just way too salty for me and had the texture of baby food. Also, was there any cheese in it? Didn't taste like it other than the massively stringy sauce. Admittedly the Shepherds pie was better but £12.50 for 2/2.5 portions.... ouch!!!
The wine and conversation was first class though!0 -
