Just had some soughdough toast with sliced avocado and a fried egg on top with an obscene amount of fresh milled black pepper. Drank some tea with it.
Off now to read a book!

If you refer to it as 'deconstructed' and say Heston made it then you're talking Michelin star territory
Had pancakes this morning for brekkie (hauled a box of mix back from the US last time I was over, didn't feel so heavy in store but it was like s*dding concrete in my case ) however it was very much worth it as the pancakes are yummy when made - today's topping of choice was banana, greek yogurt and of course maple syrup (good job I gave the other box to a friend or I'd end up the size of a house)
Dinner tonight will be cottage pie courtesy of Cook! when they had 15% off of I got our xmas dinner (always add a couple of ready meals as a treat when I order the dinner). It's sooo cold today it's comfort food temp.
Also made a yummy apple crumble last night with some apples found in the depths of the freezer and a couple sat in the kitchen going wrinkly, used demerera sugar for a change (as I seem to have 2 bags of the stuff and no idea why) and it's delicious. Added fresh ginger to the apples, and mixed spice and cinnamon, plus some mixed spice and cinnamon and ground ginger to the topping so its nice and warming. My spices are a little old so the cinnamon and ground ginger are pretty subtle (aka the spices have lost their oomph but I'm nearly at the end of them so not throwing them out until they're used up :money::rotfl:)Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
