Dinner last night was good, though I've just remembered I left two onion bhajis in the oven to cool and never put them in the fridge. Doh!

was supposed to be meeting a friend for dinner tonight but she's not well so I've just got some lamb chops out of the freezer that I'll have with corn on the cob (last of the 3 I bought from Lidl last week) and potatoes I think.

  • Chicken thigh from freezer, not sure what flavour but it has an orange look about it, could be tandori or similar, a mini corn on cob and some potato

...which turned into meeting a friend without a cold at the big blue and yellow furniture store and meatballs.

We're having LO casserole from the freezer for lunch, have had to get 2 lots out as DD2 is coming for lunch. Was going to make a mixed veg soup but haven't got enough veg left for 3 of us, was only just enough for the 2 of us!

Tonight's dinner is a fish curry & brown rice using frozen white fish fillets.

Have also got out a couple of chicken breasts for tomorrow night's dinner.

Tonight we are having spicy Mexican beef and orange casserole from a batch-cooked stash in the freezer. Forgot to take two portions of it out of the freezer before I left for work this morning, but it defrosts fine in the microwave. I did manage to find time to peel the potatoes before I left though, so at least that's one less job to do tonight!
  • Really enjoyed the chicken last night, boneless thigh and I remembered it was some I marinated in some sort of mid east spice, was lovely. Got some beefy stuff out for tonight and as I had cous cous last night I will have jkt tonight. Have been working to reduce freezer contents but have seen doc today and have a referral for new knee op, maybe Nov, so will have to sort out and restock with hm meals for one again.

OH is picking, I had spaghetti with HM pasta sauce and some ham and cheese stirred through.

    Lamb chops tomorrow.

  • Put the beefy stuff last night into a dish with some mini wraps, looked like a lasagne, only had half to the rest was for lunch today. Took out a burger for tonight and have ground up some mushrooms so may try to do a sort of beefburger pie using the mini wraps instead of pastry. Every day is a learning day. Have taken a chicken and mushroom small pie out for tomorrow (have to bake) and a couple of sausges for next day or so.
