Just cooked up some sweet and sour and had that with prawns and rice / quinoa.

TBH I'm struggling to find food I really enjoy ATM. Didn't enjoy the prawns (was counting down how many I had left to eat) and just don't find anything inspiring. Perhaps it's because I'm cooking stuff to use it, or it's stuff a bit past it's best. I think I need to do a proper clear out and be ruthless.

I felt the same kerri, I usually really enjoy a piece of lightly smoked salmon, which is what I had today but I really did not enjoy it and I had to have a large portion of Apple, pear and blackberry crumble to get the strange taste out of my mouth.
Husband had half a chicken, daughter had a vegan pie, we all had roast potatoes and a mash made with swede, carrot, parsnip, sweet potato and celeriac. Brussels and green beans.
  • I made sure to cook extra veg yesterday so we can have Bubble and Squeak today, one of my favourite things, it will be topped with chopped cooking bacon and some stale cheese and cooked in the oven and when it's beginning to brown on top I'll make two hollows in the top and crack us an egg each in them and pop it back in the oven until they are baked! delicious!

Lunch will be HM white bean and sweet potato chilli, with a pre-prepped (frozen) bulgar wheat and veggie mix from Lidl and some leftover broccoli.

Dinner will be lentil and carrot soup, left over from the weekend, with some bread and butter.

Trying to be organised, cooked a chicken and stripped it down. Made a lovely gravy, cauli and broc cheese, mashed potato. Made soup with the rest of the veg with celery, carrot and onion and a sprinkle of cheese blitzed. Delightful. Later in the week it will be something with mince,
