Two frozen bananas and some frosty blackberries used up today in smoothies (with apple juice) unfortunately got a lot of bananas and blackberries to use up so could take a while. Nice to be making a dent in them though with something other than crumbles.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Dijon mustard & oregano in the burgers.
Sliced tomatoes & gherkins on the buns.0 -
The last of the broth, which had been livened up with chili flakes and enriched with some left over ka!e.
Very moreish, so I might add the ka!e, or even cabbage / Bussell sprouts (depending on other menus) a day or two earlier. (Broth made Saturday, first serving Monday, traditional tea on a school night).0 -

Cooked a homemade chicken jalfrazei last night following the hairy dieters recipe. It is the fourth time that I have cooked it. Hubby loves it.
Last night I included butternut squash and mashed some of it up, this helped to thicken the sauce rather than use cornflour.
Tonight is homemade shepherds pie.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Tonight's meal will be pasta bake made with HM tomato sauce and topped with mozzarella and parmesan, with broccoli and carrots on the side and oven-baked fish. (Discovered some frozen coley portions in the depths of the freezer so will be cooking these in the oven, in a roasting bag, serving half with the pasta bake tonight and using the other half to make fishcakes tomorrow.)#Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain #We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us #If you focus on what you have left behind, you will never see what lies ahead - Gusteau/RatatouilleGC 2022: £0/£2,500 total spend0
