OH had a major grump about one of the recipes in the Tesco magazine where they say to make cassolet with lentils (!!) and carrots (no!!!) and mushrooms (NO!!!!!!).  So after much grumbling when I asked what we were having for dinner he suggested sausages and lentils.  Fine by me - so Toulouse sausages, belly pork and lentils purchased on my way home.  Didn't know if he wanted the green or brown lentils so I bought both - either way they'll get used up.

Went to the local Aldi a couple of days back to discover that their fridges had mostly all stopped working.  So almost everything was yellow stickered.  Picked up a nice looking pork roast with crackling which got cooked up yesterday but less than half used.  So last night while it was part of a full roast dinner tonight it will be featured in sandwiches.

Tonight will be slow cooked beef curry, made a couple of days ago, with rice and naan (if I can find them in the depths of the freezer).
