We’re off out today to Carisbrooke Castle where they have their annual Knights Tournament, been waiting for Noah to be old enough to enjoy this one ☺️ made a picnic lunch and we’ll have dinner at a local pub on the way home, already know what I’m having, Caesar salad no croutons as it’s about the only no/low carb thing on the menu 🤷‍♀️

Great fun yesterday, we all really enjoyed it ☺️ we’ll leave the house back to ourselves tonight, so my fall back meal lately for a lazy dinner is crispy duck with lettuce wraps. I want to do a stock take of the freezer this weekend, we’re away next weekend so want to try and avoid shopping this week.

Had chicken with pineapple and rice yesterday but decided to get a couple of faggots out of freezer today.  Checked on AI site for ideas (usually just faggots/chips n peas) and saw with jkt potato so defrosted 1 and  having with salad and the other one,  making a "shepherds" pie with extra veggies for tomorrow. Added some sweet chilli sauce and some chopped up button mushrooms to give it that extra something.  Never even thought of using faggots like this,  it also suggested faggot casserole and stew,  so much easier than mince/onions/gravy/herbs and spices etc etc and they are quite cheap at £1 for 6.  Good for cooking for 1.

Too hot to cook here on South coast. Having similar supper to last night as in sliced roast topside of beef, sliced Wiltshire ham, potato salad, gluten free quiche, prawn salad, organic cherry tomatoes, organic spring onions, watermelon or pineapple chunks, gazpacho or tomato juice.
