peony40 said:I’d like to join you on this thread.Today, I have a pack of bacon that needs using so I will do a bacon pasta bake. I did an inventory of my food cupboards last week and there is some dried pasta that needs using up too.
tonight we a bit of a fakeaway
I got some kind of rice dish from Lidl that was like a special egg fried rice, massive pot for a few quid. I did some peppers for the sauce. I finally managed to get the mayflower sweet n sour sauce pot from B&M, added last nights cooked chicken to that. The Aldi spring rolls which were incredible and prawn crackers. Definitely one of the best Chinese fakeaways I’ve had.:money::rotfl::T4 -
Chicken with apricots in honey/wine sauce. With new potatoes and spinach. All except the wine courtesy of yellow stickers/Olio.I was going to be doing raspberries in yoghurt for pud but I suspect I’ll be a bit full so they might be breakfast instead. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Anniversary dinner out to a local Greek Cypriot restaurant. Not sure how long it has been opened but as I recall it was here when we first moved to the area in '94! We have only been to it a few times since then with the last being about 3 months back with out of town friends. This has prompted the OH to suggest it as he really enjoyed the food. Expecting there will be souvlaki and similar lovely things. Likely with baklava for afters. And you know those tiny portions of baklava you get most places. This place doesn't do tiny. I ended up sharing mine last time as I had reached my sugar limit!!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Have a lovely time @Brie. I love baklava.
Last night it was our usual salad.
Tonight I was going to do breaded chicken schnitzel that I got on Saturday but I misread the date on it, thinking it said 15/8. It actually said 13/8. So unfortunately no risks being taken and it's gone in the bin. Would have risked one day but not two, especially when I dont eat meat.
We are all going to have curry on jacket potatoes instead. (Instead of just me)2 -

We made tortellini and printed pasta this afternoon at cookery class with a tomato sauce and a sauce vierge (lemon juice, olive oil, olives, cherry tomatoes and fresh herbs) to go with them. Here's my printed pasta which is basically soft herb leaves sandwiched between two pasta sheets and then rolled progressively thinner until it looks like wallpaper.
