Today’s delights will be garlic and chilli prawn salad and some bao buns I found skulking at the back of the freezer

Yesterday, we had salad, I made it in advance and steamed some new potatoes in the microwave when we were ready to eat.

Today it's an easy Sunday roast, I cooked the pork yesterday as it was at its sell by date.  Will plate up an additional 2 for the inlaws.

OH did a fairly big shop yesterday and last night's menu changed several times in a few hours.....in the end we had pizza.

Tonight I'm demanding the Asda brand beef bourguignon with mash given the autumnal weather we're having.

  • First time trying a Chicken Curry recipe for the slow cooker, it required potatoes in the sauce not as a side, so will be interesting to see how it goes.

Marinated chicken (sugar free BBQ Sauce) with salad and new spuds for him

Edit : had sad bloke phone call (OH) saying salad was not going to cut it, so broke out the Aldi cod and chips from the freezer stash - I’ll still have salad and the chicken will be for tomorrow now 😊

I had been planning on pasta with meatballs but OH has just arrived home triumphantly from Sainsbugs with some Indian food.  Meatballs are good for another 2 weeks so no rush.

I made tacos. "Mince" mixture from crumbled walnuts and tofu (and plenty of herbs, spices, tomato paste and soy sauce), then soft wraps, guacamole, salad, jalapenos and some sweet potato chunks. A hit all round. Blueberries and yoghurt for pud.
