I’m making beef burritos with the very last of the roast beef from Sunday plus loads of onions, peppers, chillies, tomatoes, garlic, herbs, rice and black beans all free from the Community Fridge. It’s only when I write it down on this thread that I realise how much is available from the Fridge every week and although it’s criminal that so much food would otherwise go to landfill (Hello Fresh, I’m looking at you) I consider myself incredibly fortunate to avail myself of it. I could be all noble and say I am just doing my bit to prevent food waste, but we all know it’s more because of how much money it saves me 🤣. And the people I meet there are smashing too.4
