I made this recipe Cauliflower Bake – The Balkan Kitchen and used frozen spinach because the cost of fresh spinach in M*rks yesterday was astronomical and the bags were the wrong weight for the recipe amount IYSWIM. I'll draw a veil over dropping the nutmeg I was grating into the yoghurt and egg mixture when my right hand seized up and say it has possibilities. If I repeat it I would substitute the spinach with a veg I prefer, chop the cauliflower into smaller pieces, increase the parsley, cumin, nutmeg and seasoning and use cheaper, tangier yoghurt for more flavour. I ate it with green beans, sweetcorn and petits pois all from the freezer.4

Bought an air fryer today, so tried it out on the kids by sticking some chicken strips and wedges in there - seems good? It does sound like an aeroplane taking off tho.
DH will be home in about an hour, he will be my next victim with a frozen bean burger & HM chips (I’ve got a cold and not feeling hungry 🤷♀️).Books read 2023 - 49/753 -

Burgers. No bbq as no propane so they'll need to be pan fried. I'll consider buns. I am quite happy to pretend to be posh and eat with a knife and fork and would be happy to have just one bun or even just one bun bottom. I shall be tutted at no doubt. But a iceberg lettuce has been purchased and that means I can have a nice salad, maybe with the crispy onions on top!!!
Some sort of jam puddings have been purchased for afters only to use up left over custard. If I hadn't have been on an important call when OH was heading out to shop I would have said to just get bananas. Not sure I've ever had jam pudding... but then again I've led a very sheltered life.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
