Ok, so let the customer do the ‘ fit for purpose’ testing. Brilliant !0

:TWell it seems I am in the rare group of Together Energy customers in that I've had a great service and no problems. I have been with them 6 months now.
My switch over went very smoothly from EDF and only issue was EDF not paying out my final rebate as I was owed money due to being in credit. Since then I have had no issues. I always get through on the phone quickly but will say they do not have extensive hours available. When I have made enquiries I have had very efficient responses and call backs exactly as they have stated so for now I am very happy as my energy costs have been reduced by £7 a month in a 1 bed flat. I was also on best available EDF Tariff as switched it each year.0 -

We are now on the 15th November and I still havent had a final bill from Together, despite me working out the final bill will be around £60. Their loss if they don't actually want it, I have already rang them three times and sent them two emails, I know from a phone call they actually have my final reading so why no bill has been created I have absolutely no idea.
But when I do get the final bill I will be waiting the same amount of time they took to send it me to actually pay it, to restore the cosmic balance.
Well well well...
Almost a year after leaving them, they decide to finally send me an email todayYour Final Balance
Your final bill is now available on your customer portal with your closing balance from Together Energy.
As your account is in debit, we will attempt to take this balance from your nominated bank account in 7 days, unless you contact us to settle this early.
If any payments have been made or refunds issued after your switch date, these have been taken into account in your final balance shown on your bill.
If we are unable to collect the balance automatically, our team will contact you to discuss this.
Logged in and yes, was around the £60 I predicted. Why has it taken them a year to do this? :T
Actually - are they allowed to chase this over 11 months after I left?0 -

Yes they are - and consider yourself immensely lucky that the amount due agrees with your figures! I'm still in battle with them over a bill they produced at the beginning of April, on behalf of One Select who went kaput in December.
Together Energy are one of the most incompetent Utility Cos. it has ever been my misfortune to deal with.:mad:0 -
Well I cancelled the DD ages ago, so good luck collecting it next week. They can either have it in 11 months time (the same time it took them to bill me), or £1 a day until it is paid, I haven't decided yet :rotfl:0

They do say they will chase you if they can't get it out of the bank!
Block their number if you don't want to discuss what you owe with them!
(Their debt collection dept is probably on the mark, unlike the rest of the operation!)0 -

Oh Im not avoiding paying it, just want to make it as difficult as possible.0 -
bradders1983 Don't be surprised at anything that happens (or doesn't happen) with TE. I was with them 8 months and never paid them a penny (despite trying many times) I think they have rewritten the rules on 'how to run an energy company' ? Now finally rid of them this month and all paid up with compensation deducted and no mid-contract penalties.0

Just checked my Junk emails, and at 11.20pm last night I got a lovely email from the fragrant Alison Walker at a company called Opos Limited....a debt collection company working on behalf of Together.
Not even 7 days after I got the final bill...You may have just forgotten to make the payment but we are obliged to tell you that it must be made now
Erm, no, I was just waiting 11 months for you cretins (they are clearly the same people, I have worked for a company before that did a similar tactic) to bill me.
Going to ring them later and give them the runaround.0 -

I had a lovely email from Alison Walker too this morning trying to recover the £50 gesture of goodwill they have already paid me. You couldn't make it up.
I left TE last September and had to go through the ombudsman to get my £88.81 credit back, plus the ombudsman awarded me £50 and a letter of apology. I received all that in May this year so I thought it was all over.
On friday I received an email from TE saying that I owed them £50 (they'd obviously just applied my gesture of goodwill to my account). I rang TE and they said to ignore the email, then today I got an email from OPOS demanding payment. I rang OPOS but they can't cancel the debt.
I rang TE again and they have re-issued the instruction to call off OPOS chasing me.
I have also re-opened my case with the ombudsman as this is now harassment. I can see OPOS chasing this further!
