I have usually rented a car when on trips a week or longer and have plans to travel outside of LV. With the costs rising and also parking costs increasing I may give it a miss for my next trip.

If I plan any longer day trips I may just rent for 2 days and get a 3 day bus pass for strip etc. A car is handy to have if we want to nip over to the Malls or Wall Mart etc but to be stuck in the parking lot makes no sense.

Please can I get some help here with MyVegas.

We're planning on going to Las Vegas at the end of October for 5 nights. Would it work if I booked a 2 night comp room at The Signature on my account and OH also booked the same thing. We would then need one more night.

We've never used rewards before for accommodation, only buffets and food credit.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

dollywopps, yes that is possible, I am in a similar scenario with both my mine and my wifes account.

The only thing that may put a spanner in the works is if one of you is considerably higher level and the lower account doesn't see the same rewards but you would have to keep checking.

    Good luck

We've both got the same rewards. Unless anyone has any better suggestions, I think I am going to book 2 comp rooms on each account. I'll either pay for one night through Vegas-hotels-online or use 1500 lp's for a discount.

Go for it. Have you checked out smartervegas for your single night? They have good deals and link direct to the hotel rather than booking as a third party agent.

So, I have now purchased the 2 rewards. I have signed in to OH's MLife account and cannot see how to use it. What am I doing wrong? I've worked out what to do, but I may have to telephone somewhere tomorrow. I put in 2 nights, but it is only showing one night.

I think you should book via the email link they send you. It!!!8217;s a while since I!!!8217;ve done it, but if you get mixed up and have to call, they don!!!8217;t charge you the fee.

We have been going since year 2000, 2/3/4 times a year and have never once had any offers from any casinos. I don't even bother putting my cards in now as with a lot of properties they zero you back if you don't use the card within 6 months.

Do you have online accounts with total rewards , CET. m life. Boyd etc

I don’t get sent offers but I have offers on all of the above when I log in...CET at the mo is showing comped nights for every property most weeks next year., no weekends though.

With Boyd I can get 3 free nights any time...handy for the weekends downtown at the Cal.

We can usually get about 10 comped night a per trip, IMO it’s def worth playing with your card in

Change of plans. 2 nights comped at Signature on one account and 1 night comped at Signature on the other account. Could not do 2+2 at Park MGM.

So, have booked the other 2 nights at the Signature via SmarterVegas.
Out of curiosity, I priced the 5 nights at the Signature and it came out $200 more expensive. At the end of the day, playing some games, costing me nothing and saving me $200 isn't too bad. We've had some nice free meals at the Hippodrome in Leicester Square and free chips. OH reckons we won about £500 over the outings - pays for our hotel in Vegas.

Now, what other suggestions does anyone have to use our rewards limit. Is it 3 per account per stay?

Yep I've got online accounts and they never show anything, just best rates.
I used to have a host at PlanetHo as I played lots of craps but that doesn't register when accumulating enough for comped rooms, your host does that.
When you consider that we go for 8-10 nights at a time, 3 times a year and probably play through (not put in) $400-600 a night each and the only thing we get is enough points for free buffets.

But this has been the bee in my bonnet for some years now.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
