tessie_bear - you do get some very bargainous jeans. The dyeing sounds like a result, I'm always a bit scared of it.Today I am wearing a pair of Next slim leg jeans and a George grey thin knit jumper which has a panel in the back from underneath the shoulders in a white silky fabric with a large paisley pattern in blue, don't remember the price of the jeans but £3-4 I expect but I do know the jumper was £1.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

it doesn't contaminate the washer though. If you think it might wash a dark wash the next time around. I did that and the next wash was all light coloured items and no problem at all.4 -

May suggest a compromise with the lads - we play the old tie dye & wax resist games on fabric that will be sewn into masks, then run another wash with a single teatowel before returning to the usual stoking with house laundry...2

Worrying news - as a result of fundraising coming to a halt and the closure of their charity shops, the Sue Ryder, charity who run Hospices up and down the country announced yesterday they may have to close all of their Hospices because of a collapse in their finances due to Covid 19. This cannot be allowed to happen surely???

Our local hospice says their biggest income comes from legacies and is well in excess of anything the shops/fundraisers make so I was surprised to read this. All that clutter used to be money2

Miro - I think St Gemma's said the same thing this week.I've done a couple of charity donations this week, there is such a domino effect to this whole situation and there will be many victims that are forgotten about just because they didn't die of the virus. I chose the RSPCA and NSPCC, I am very concerned about children in volatile and abusive homes with nowhere to go for help, particularly little ones that are too young to call anyone, the pressure of all being cooped up together for some families just doesn't bear thinking about.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
