Spent some of last night deconstructing a 4" square of woolly pully, darning another for the use of. Blimey it's thin wool fibres & they crinkle wickedly. Heavy lace bobbins would help!
I throw to attain calm, strangely. A hasty irate fling & the axe goes sailing over the target log & into the nettlepatch. Meditative, considered, step swing release & hopefully thud - all loads more serene. (Think a neighbour may be enjoying watching - and possibly putting bets on, but when the fuss calms down I may invite them to come & have a chuck themselves.)3 -
im wearing the same as i posted last time...possibly different slipper . Hope everyone is keeping well in both body and spirit x

Does anybody know what day it is? It's sooo confusing with all the usual social markers removed. Standards are starting to slip too....does it really matter if I'm wearing odd socks and a coffee splashed t-shirt as I'm only going as far as the bins today? Should I change the sheets.....naw they will last a few more days! Going to take myself in hand tomorrow...smart, clean clothes, freshly washed hair, eat at the table instead of in front of the pooter or telly.....5

I have separated all the clothes I absolutely love and that fit well and the rest I have hung in a different wardrobe. I intend to live in the discards for as long as I am isolated and then bin/donate it as I will be sick and tired of it by then. Should be some interesting combinations worn. All that clutter used to be money4

Yesterday I wore the same as the day before. I have decided that the tank top type top (Massimo Dutti) is the wrong shape on me so that will be washed and re donated as will the Tu pink spot shirt I was wearing with it, the colour is not right on me and it has a button down collar which I don't like buttoned down or unbuttoned.Today I am wearing my Next vintage cigarette jeans again with a George thin knit mock layer jumper, the front is grey with white stripes and the back is plain grey, it has a faux chiffon underlayer. Should be just right for Spring weather.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Today I am going through my T shirt wardrobe, with a view to making (primitive) masks for myself & any of my family who go beyond the bins & back garden. I know, Distancing Matters a load More, but some kind of cover may remind the covidiots to keep away. (Essentially folded Tshirt with a sheet of blueroll in the middle - the blue rool - workshop "towel", isn't woven & thus a better middle/disposable layer whilst the T shirt ties on easily & cab be boil washed & sunlight dried.) I am contemplating a Tshirt quilt but, lacking the fusing, it;s a Mayeb project!
This as I wear my beloved fleece (pockets!), T shirt & leggings as it is the weekend. Army surplus combats & parka for axe throwing later.2 -

Seems like we are all getting a bit more recycling than we usually are. Love the idea of the masks. I bought one in Vietnam recently more as a joke than anything but lo and behold it has become useful.
My recycling came in the form of a previously white short sleeved cotton cardi with a lacy pattern that has been to many a wedding or summer outing, also a towelling type material short sleeved hoody These had become a grubby white after much washing and suncream rubbing off on them etc. The other item was a purple top with a satin v neck that I picked up at a jumble sale for 10p. When I got it home I realised there was a grubby handmark on the side but it didn't wash out so I was going to throw it but put it to one side. I remembered yesterday I had a pack of denim blue dye that I bought years ago and never used (used to dye loads of things at one time).
Anyway I thought nothing lost if they all went wrong. They have turned out fabulous. The cotton cardi is a definite denim blue and looks really good. The towelling top looks more navy but the stitching and zip have stayed white which makes a great contrast. The purple top has come out a very dark purple but the satin v neck has stayed the same as has the stitching but that looks good.
So three items now back for use.6 -

With this stay at home stay safe & me failing to take the requisite exercise (all my fault, ahem), I foresee I will be needing to sew on quite a few buttons. I should stop blushing & get active with the magnificent Mr Joe Wicks, just my neighbours seem to quite enjoy watching me leaning knife throwing tutored by my son. A gal can't win, but if I get accurate then there may be fewer comments aloud about the waistline. (Oddly, it's a forbidden skill for Scouts, along with bungee and being towed on inflatables. A certain hand eye coordination is encouraged - so we have axes & "throwing angels" but knives are Off...)
I did suggest refreshing some bedding with a new dye colour & the chaps universally said No! - they didn't want the washing machine contaminated with lurid colour which might affect their delicate sensibilities, let alone smallclothes...2
