Update, sort of. While the charity shops & food banks still need us, husband has said lad's vocation & profession was the care of the even-demented elderly (until he had a seizure at work) so Alzheimer's Society, and he loved trees (despite not being allowed to climb them) so plant one if donations seem wrong.

had a grest buy today in my local sue ryder, last week yet another lump of the plastic broke off the lid of my liquidiser/ blender (its only 19 years these thing don't last for ever), which made me think I need to start looking for a new one as it has been leaking from the bottom for a while. On the way out of the shop I spotted the shelf of electicals & there was a liquidiser I thought I will have a quick look, it was in excellent condition & a kenwood for just £5. On research when I got home I found it should have a grinder, but I have never really used the one on the old one so this didn't bother me. This model tend to sell for about £20 on ebay without the grinder so I was very happy with my purchase

I called into two shops on Saturday whilst out on a long walk. I found a dvd I've been looking for for a while, it was 3 for £1 so I got 2 others, when watched we redonate. Also got a BNWT BHS Christmas cushion, red felt type fabric with silver trees and stags, £2, popped it away for next year. The same shop had 3 beautiful pictures for £4 each but I couldn't carry them so I am going back today to see if they are still there.

Oh dear, called into my local MIND shop this afty and saw a lovely Fenn Wright Manson black jersey dress, long sleeves, boat neck, knee length and with a draped to the side thing going on at the waist caught back with an embellished 'thingumidoo'. Looked to be in perfect condition too but I really have no need just now. Similar dresses in this range are around £100 and the chazza price was £11. I just know I am going to be haunted by the missed purchase overnight now..... already thinking 'well, it's only the price of a couple of cups of coffee and a bun!' Will have to go back tomorrow and if it's still there try it on and then decide.:o

When do you dress-buyers have occasions to wear them? I live in jeans, only own a couple of skirts and no dresses. One pair of smart black Jaeger trousers for evenings out. Different lifestyle obviously!
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

Can I ask a big favour?

Im looking for a DVD, Ive been looking a long long time and over here, in a small place where the sheep follow the cows, Im not finding it

If anyone finds me a copy of SLING BLADE starring Billy Bob Thornton and are willing to buy it, watch it, copy it and then post it on to me, Ill be more then happy to reimburse P+P and cost of the film

Its a film I watched with half an eye one day, and got sucked in. So much so I watched to the end and re watched it, then watched it another two times in that week. It is a brilliant film and I would love my own copy of it

So Im putting the feelers out to you guys on the mainland where there is more chance of finding it
