I am dropping off a donation bag to the PDSA shop and then will have a mooch around the £1 charity shop.
I would like a red jumper and a red bag.
I would also like to look for a winter coat and a checked shirt for my husband.
Sometimes the shop has lots of good stuff and sometimes it's rubbish. The clothes are all only £1 after all!:D
I will report back here later today.:p
You should have no problems with finding a checked shirt, I see loads of these.
I am away in Northumberland at the moment and visited a lovely town yesterday on the way up and made a few purchases.
A BNWT M&S Collection coat, it is a creamy sort of colour with gold lurex running through it giving it a subtle sparkle, slightly oversized sort of boyfriend style, the original M&S tag price was £129 with various markdowns on the ticket, I paid £8.
A sweatshirt for DH, grey with a 3 button neckline, I can't remember the brand - £3, and a vintage St Michael skirt, navy blue with ditsy white floral design, midi length, fully lined, I'm not sure how you would describe the style but it has a proper waistband then a sort of flat area then little pleats all the way around at the top but the actual skirt is full not pleated - £4.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I did see a Per Una red top but it was the type that has holes in it and I thought that wasn't really the thing to wear now it's getting colder!
I didn't see a red bag but I did see a roomy cobalt blue shopper bag so I snapped that up.
I also got a ASOS black short dress (I like ASOS dresses) and another black short dress to wear underneath things. Grand total of £4 in all!
I'm still on the lookout for this elusive red bag.:D:pAnyway - let's not derail the thread any more. Wednedsay2000 - I am enjoying your method of telling the CS universe what you're looking for before you head out! I hope you find what you want. I'll keep looking out for the next bargains from everyone to inspire me! M100XYou should have no problems with finding a checked shirt, I see loads of these.
I did actually find my husband a checked shirt. It was perfect actually as it was dark blue and black and those are the colours he wears the most.:)0 -
We have a few charity shops where I am from however 1 of them seems to hike it's prices like by x20 to sell off as vintage! My best bargain was a pointy shoes that looked amazing for £3!0

I have just come back from town where I had 3 hours to myself hunting through the charity shops - we have a lot in our town and I didn't get around them all
From the hospice shop I got a pair of new jeans for Mr S, £2.99, a monsoon jumper in an oatmeal colour with a jewelled neckline and a per uni fitted cardigan - both as new, can't mind the prices but total bill was £7
Then in various other shops I got a pair of barely worn monsoon boot shoes with a lovely height heel -£3 which I was really pleased with as I was looking in the shoe shop for a pair and was thinking of parting with £69 for a pair that I wasn't 100% sure about
A BNWT Wallis black top, and two long line cardigans, one really chunky, will save needing a jacket, and one more dressy, one was Wallis and the other monsoon. Total spends today £21
Not as cheap as some of your charity shop finds but Im more then happy with the prices I paid
I also dropped off a black bag full of good quality stuff to the hospice shop and Ive another bagful that they can send for rags
Pollycat, remember the dress that I needed to slim into for this time last year? Which I got into with the help of some control undies? Well its slightly loose on me nowIndeed, this is the reason of the sort out and spending spree, Ive gone down another two sizes :j
I really do have a new wardrobe, of old stuff that I haven't been able to wear for years0 -
suki - well done on losing weight.
I have come back with more purchases today. DD bought a pale blue M&S Cashmere jumper for £4 and HSM 2 on dvd for 19p. I got a pair of Clarks suede ankle boots with inside zip, chunky heel, sandy brown colour £6.99, a New Look jumper in mustard colour with 3 buttons on each shoulder £3.99, this looks unworn, a large over the shoulder type scarf/shawl in large checks in grey and brown colours - £4.
The rehoming of unloved handknitted garments continues, today I found a waistcoat in brown with orange and red flecks, front pockets, funnel neck and very attractive wooden buttons, probably only me and the original knitter will love this - £3.50 paid.
2 x hand towels at 50p each for the dog, a very lovely M&S leather handbag in immaculate condition inside and out for £1.
I saw 2 gorgeous pictures, quite large and just £2.99 for the pair, plus a lovely teapot and several gorgeous vintage teacups and saucers but I had to leave them as getting them home is not really possible.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I was tempted by some M & S Egyptian cotton bedding today in the Mind shop. Still in the packaging, grey/blue colour, super-king sized duvet cover & 2 pillow cases, £42!! (Originally £70 for the cover and £12 each for the pillow cases) Was a bit put off by the 200 thread count tho as it seems a bit low, (and the price!!) Thought about unpicking the duvet cover and making it into 2 sheets but decided not really worth it so left it. Think this will hang about for a while at that price if I change my mind. Toddled on to the Cancer Research cheapo warehouse style shop where I found a b/n M & S knee length pencil skirt with a gold zip at the back and front off centre kick pleat - all skirts are £2 :j.
If the chazza fairy is listening please could he/she find me a nice pure wool coat....knee length, fitted and bottle green would be luvverly and save me from lusting after one seen on the Hobbs website priced at £2750 -
Suki - Another hurrah for loosing weight!
Dolly84 - a handsome handbag for a pound?!
Miro - of all the people to find a seriously glorious coat, my money’s on you! Colour swatch card & all...!
Some days karma blows you a kiss - I dropped off 12 bags & boxes at one charity shop & the next one sling (a hospice shop) has a brand new Denby Boston teapot! Happy chortlings & less do-I-Have-to about carrying on the clearing....0 -

DD found a vintage Hobbs coat yesterday, we both loved it, it was bottle green, longer than knee length and it was the type with a big (ish) collar that fastens with a tie belt, 100% wool, I don't remember the price now but it was in an actual vintage shop so won't have been super cheap.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
