    as some days the

    is in your head.

    (Shudders) Go back!

So...yesterday I was deliberating long and hard about spending 20p! Today I goes and splurges £6.50 on a(nother) dress! M & S Limited Edition Collection, mocha crepe, short sleeves with a twisty/drapey/crossover thingy going on at the front. Tried it on quickly over a pair of jeans, (big mistake), not taking too much notice of the length. Sooo this afty was spent letting the hem down - fortunately didn't leave a mark where the original hem was pressed. How many blooming' dresses do I need?? I did drop 2 bin bags full of stuff off in a Ripon chazza at the week-end tho :A

Miro, I give you a free pass for all items under 50 pence up to a total of a fiver in one day, so long as you donate the same volume of fun and likewise a free pass for one outfit for under £30 a day so long as you donate another outfit.
We can debate shoes another time?

You may have no more than 50 at any one time, and while you may pay up to £100 for an exceptional find (in a month), you must donate ten of the other bags. (If a £50 find, 5 bags etc.)

I'm not wholly certain & open to negotiation on this as a bag is a wide-ranging fast moving target. Also a cheap-ish find can come up glorious when properly treated.

I think so long as it is not intended to carry more than 15 kg, it counts as a handbag? The line between a handbag, courier punch & duffel bag is a slippery one.

Makes note of DFV's stipulations :p

I'm sure my run of good luck will come to an end shortly. I can remember a few months ago when I went for about 3 weeks without buying a single thing!

Think of them as a subset of the Acquisition Committee Guidelines?

In my case, if I were to come across a complete trove of pottery, so much that I needed every chap in the car to help lug & then hop a bus home, I would Absolutely be required to clear the storage room & make a substantial charitable donation (let alone kebabs & ice creams.)

Since the consensus is it would be quicker just to order a skip, I absolutely support your finding talent whilst putting a few spatial restrictions around it.

And they're guidelines. (My committee are also my enforcers unless vigorously distracted.)

I have found this too. I went through a very dry spell and bought hardly anything for a couple of months. The last three weeks have seen me snaffle some amazing bargains.

Co-incidence??? Or is there something in the air, causing everyone to have a good clear out. Either way I'm happy. :D

I'm always waiting for someone my size with impeccable taste to drop dead of a non-contagious disease, then I can renew my wardrobe.

Get an alibi sorted & join my scout shooting lessons?
Lead poisoning, correctly administered, should only ruin one garment. Well, plus any supportive substructures if you go for the chest.

The alibi should then leave you in a good position to negotiate to deal with the deceased's wardrobe.

(Anyone might have thought I've given the idea consideration. Utter nonsense, I change sizes like the Lottery jackpot.)

I've come to the conclusion that I have too many clothes.

I bought a linen blend Next summer dress from Barnados for £3.00.
Got it home and found the same dress still with the tag on in my wardrobe. :o

Luckily, these sell very well on eBay so I should make a profit.
