Two furoshiki hits - a Black Watch tartan square & a fruits de mer on gold long scarf, a pound each at the PDSA (both silk, shoved in with other scarves) which should do nicely for mother's birthday. Now to find the right bottles.

A Marvel tablet computer cover for 50 pence which should ebay and repay my petrol.

Himself found a Tog 50 waterproof jacket for youngest which he is Very pleased by, and a little china three pan paint mixing thingummy (also for youngest, also fallen on with delight!).

Oh my word we need tea though. All that healthy walking around!

    Great finds! :T
I've been watching furoshiki clips on YouTube.
I have a few silk scarves put away to use as wrappings.

I looked! The Acquisition Committee saw the Chilli Fire plates & said "looks disgusting" - I saw the £10 for 4 & the apparent thickness - lacking the smooth neat comfort - they looked thick & awkward, & so on we hiked. Hindsight says should have at least hefted one & cuddled it, but the Committee wasn't properly focused!

Several hours later, youngest is still in his Tog 24 jacket & I am beginning to think we may need a crowbar to 'persuade' him to take it off to eat...

Lots and lots of bargains to report as we had a night away and went to nettlebed sales. We stayed in Thame so visited the Cs’s there, went to nettlebed then went to Biscester town centre and shopping village. It was our 29th wedding anniversary so a night away was required and serendipity led to it being a Nettlebed weekend.
From Thame I got a cath kidston 20th anniversary mug, unused £1, a large amount of what I think is Laura Ashley fabric which matches the accent colour in my lounge £4 a boring looking toilet bag led to my best find however, it was a free give away develor one priced at £7 on looking inside I found the following all brand new sealed containers and bottles decelor hand cream, decelor misceller water, Elemis face oil and gatineu cleanser these were all full size so probably would cost about £100 to buy them all.

At nettlebed I got a large sisal type rug, no marks or stains £5, an Emma bridgewater butter dish £10 an Emma bridgewater mug £10 a tureen to match my Indian tree dinner service £3 a colander £1 a large amount of eau de nil silk fabric £5.

At Biscester we got two Indian tree jugs £1 for the two a Laura Ashley woollen dress that looks barely worn as still has spare thread attached £5.99 Dh got a nice Charles tywright (sp) shirt for work £4.95 and I got a boden full length kitchen apron £1.

Biscester charity shops were cheaper than Thame but had fewer higher quality items. We are however very pleased with our haul

Happy Days. Lovely things there, especially the skincare - wow.

Yesterday I picked up a vintage Prestige Stainless Steel grater for 99p, I had been on the look out for a flat grater so was very chuffed with this.

DD got a BNWT New Look vintage style dress, full button through, 30's/40's style, floral pattern, she has been on the look out for one since last year at least, tag price £27.99 originally, she paid £3.50.

Wow, I wonder why someone was getting rid of all that!

After a 2 week absence due to hols I expected the chazzas to have at least some new stock for my trawl around yesterday. Ha!! Not so....just the same old, same old apart from a Phase Eight dress priced at £15 and a tan coloured leather biker style jacket by Lakeland priced at £20 - both deemed to be too expensive! Twas the hospice monthly jumble sale tho and I found a set of six Japanese coasters with different pictures of Mount Fuji by Hokusai for £1. Another souvenir of a previous holiday - much cheaper bought when back home:D Will start looking for souvenirs of the latest trip now :p

I took 2 bags of good/BNIB stuff to Cats Protection last week to be met with almost total indifference, so I don't think I'll be favouring them with my clearings-out in future.

Got 4 t-shirts for £3.96 in the Heart & Stroke shop, but I think they shortchanged me by £1 :-(
